Hastkala Setu Yojana has been conceived as a Flagship Program by the Department of Cottage and Rural Industries to support the livelihoods of Handicraft Artisans. Implemented by EDII, an attempt is ongoing to further improvise and strengthen the ecosystem of Handicrafts. Through series of Entrepreneurship Trainings, Expert based Design & Product Development Domain Support, we are continiuosly striving to enhance, create & innovate handicraft products.
In the larger context, our crafts are representation of our rich diversity, culture and tradition. Endorsing our contemporary crafts will extend greater support for its revival and further create avenues of sustained livelihood for our Artisans.
Let us initiate, acknowledge & recognize these craft forms by endorsing them in our daily lives. Let us take a step forward to positively impact and drive social change for our Artisans. Let us promote our Handicrafts to preserve our own roots of identity and sense of belonging. Let us redefine who we are and what we ought to be.
