Because Even Faith Must Have Proof...

We use our intelligence all the time, everywhere. Yes, there is. P.S.

Be it office work, or be it a shopping spree, we use our reasoning. But when it comes to God and religion, we adhere to whatever is given to us by our forefathers or by our society. Some of us do come out of it, but only to take up the upcoming and religion of Atheism or to become fashionable by calling ourselves Agnostics. Just because a few religions that they look at superficially don’t make se

nse, they assume ALL religions to be senseless, illogical and irrational. So is there a religion based on proofs and evidences? Is there a religion that will make sense on deep investigation? Is there a religion which opposes blind faith? Islam teaches that God has given man the faculty to reason and therefore expects man to reason things out objectively and systematically for himself. To reflect and to question and to reflect. Islam gives proofs for itself, and invites others to bring their proofs as well. The Quran says,
‘Is there another deity besides God? Say: "Produce your evidence, if you are truthful!”’
[Quran 27:64]

With this intention of highlighting this unique aspect of Islam that it values common-sense, rationality & logic, and goes against myths and emotions in religions; we are pleased to present to you our new website,
SCANISLAM.COM

You might think it’s yet another site than “preaches” Islam. But our aim is really not to preach Islam at all. All we want from you is an unprejudiced thought. Our aim is only to present the real Islam and authentic information for the world to correctly understand this and other religions. You are free to just close this mail without responding or landing on the site. But remember not judge Islam by what you hear from third party sources. Don’t even judge it by what Muslims do. Come to us and God willing we’ll show you the real Islam which makes sense and has proofs. Visit scanislam.com

We want to remind you to the fact that there is no compulsion for man to accept the truth. But it is certainly a shame upon the human intellect when man is not even interested in finding out as to what the TRUTH is..! Peace & Regards,

Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Miscellany Book 1, Hadith 185

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (ra):
Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Never a Prophet had been sent before me by Allah to his people but he had, among his people, (his) disciples and companions, who followed his ways and obeyed his command. Then there came after them their successors who proclaimed what they did not practise, and practised what they were not commanded to do. And (he) who strove against them with his hand is a believer; he who strove against them with his heart is a believer; and he who strove against them with his tongue is a believer ; and beyond that there is no grain of Faith".

Actions and People most beloved to Allaah

On the authority of Ibn Umar who said: ‘A man came
to the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said:

‘ O Messenger of Allaah! Which of the people are the
most beloved to Allaah and which of the actions are
most beloved to Allaah?’

The Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa
sallam- said:

‘The most beloved of the people to Allaah are the
most beneficial for the people. The most beloved of
actions to Allaah –Azza wa Jal- are to cause
happiness to reach a Muslim, to relieve him from a
hardship, to settle a debt for a Muslim or to repel
hunger from him. For me to walk with a brother in order to assist him is more beloved to me than to
make ‘Itikaf in this Masjid (Masjid al-Madeenah) for a
month. Whoever holds back his anger then Allaah hides his
mistakes. Whoever suppresses his anger – even
though he is not scared to show it, but withholds
due to the truth – Allaah fills his heart with hope on
the day of Judgement. Whoever walks with his
brother to assist him with a need until he has helped him completely, then Allaah plants his feet firmly on
the day people will not stand firmly. Indeed bad
behaviour spoils good actions, just as vinegar spoils
honey.’

Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (rahimahullaah) said:

It was said to al-Hasan al-Basri: “Shouldn’t one of us feel too shy before his Lord to ask for forgiveness of his sins then do them again, then ask for forgiveness then do them again? He said: The shaytaan would love to gain victory over you in this manner. Do not ever get bored of asking for forgiveness.”

ALLAH the Most High says;

'I am with my slave when he thinks of Me and I am with him when he mentions Me.For if he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in a gathering, I mention him in superior gathering. If he approaches Me by a hand's width, I approach him by an arm's length, I approach him by two arms length. And if he comes to me walking, I hasten to him swiftly.'

Many have erred with regards to this question giving in-comprehensive or inaccurate answers. The Qur’an in less than a Verse eloquently and comprehensively answers such that it can also be verified from the Bible.

"All humans are dead except those who have knowledge; and all those who have knowledge are asleep except those who do good deeds; and those who do good deeds are deceived; except those who are sincere, and those who are sincere are always in a state of worry."

On 29th Jan 2014 there was heavy rain in Madeenah and the fajr azaan was modified to say "as salaatu fee ad diyarkum" meaning "prayer is in your homes" instead of hayya alal-falaah.

This has been part of sunnah of Rasoolullah sallahu alaihiwasalam but was revived after a long long time.
Such an Adhaan is made at the time of heavy rains; severe cold etc..

Listen to the Adhaan on Youtube -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2LW5c81f_A

There are a few Hadith in this regard -

Ibn Sirin said:
Ibn ‘Abbas said to his mu’adhdhin on a rainy day: “when you utter the words ‘ I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,” do not say,” Come to prayer” but say “Pray at your homes,” By this (announcement) the people were surprised.
He said: One who was better than me has done it. The Friday prayer is an obligatory duty. But I disliked to put you to hardship so that you might walk in mud and rain.

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

The other hadith is as follows:

Narrated Nafi:
Once in a cold night, Ibn 'Umar pronounced the Adhan for the prayer at ,Dajnan (the name of a mountain) and then said, "Pray at your homes", and informed us that Allah's Messenger sallallaahy alayhi wa sallam used to tell the Mu'adhdin to pronounce Adhan and say, "Pray at your homes" at the end of the Adhan on a rainy or a very cold night during the journey."

Why do Muslims not celebrate nor wish anyone on Christmas?

It is because Isa ibn Maryam i.e Jesus (peace be upon him) was a Prophet of Allah and not the son of God (naudhubillah).

So how can we wish Christmas? "The birth of son of God" is one of the most offensive words a Muslim can hear. It is a serious act of Kufr (disbelief) and we are very mindful of associating such characteristics to Allah Subhana-wa-Ta'la which He is pure of. We instead pray to Allah that He opens their heart and we can all unite upon the Haq (truth) and leave the Batil (falsehood).

Islam demands total submission and obedience unlike other religions.
The most important Fundamental of Islam is Tawheed (Oneness of Allah).

Tawheed means : Believing that Allaah is One with no partner or associate in His Lordship (ruboobiyyah), Divinity (uloohiyyah) or Names and Attributes (al-asma’ wa’l-sifaat).

This word (Tawheed) and its derivatives are used with this meaning in the Qur’aan and Sunnah.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

1.“Say (O Muhammad): He is Allaah, (the) One [Ahad].

2. Allaah‑us‑Samad [Allaah — the Self‑Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks)].

3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.

4. And there is none co‑equal or comparable unto Him”

[Qur'an; Surah al-Ikhlaas 112:1-4]

Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan on Commanding the Good and Forbidding the Evil

Question: Is commanding the good and forbidding the evil obligatory upon every Muslim? And how is that?

Answer: Commanding the good and forbidding the evil are both obligatory upon every Muslim according to his/her ability. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,

"Whoever amongst you sees an evil then let him change it with his hand, and if he is not able, then with his tongue, and if he is not able, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith."
(Muslim, 1/69)

Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to approve of an evil and be pleased with it, and whoever rejects it according to his ability, then indeed he is free of sin.
