The mighty Chilgoza! These rare, nutrient-dense pine nuts are grown in only a handful of places worldwide — and in India, we’re blessed to find them only in Kinnaur! 🏔️

These are harvested from the rugged terrains of ancient pine forests. Chilgoza grown by people have a lower survival rate and are mainly harvested from the forests.

Moreover, it takes many decades for pine trees to grow, which makes it all the more important to harvest them with proper care and ethics, avoiding the practice of chopping off entire branches to procure the nuts.
