78 years of Independence.
For whom – Men of this country!!
They are the ones who are truly independent! Independent enough commit a crime so heinous and then let the courts take their own sweet time to prove if they are even guilty!! It’s the men who are truly independent! Independent enough to get into any room and do what they wish to with any woman! It is the men who are indeed independent in this country!
The moment a girl is born these independent men show up taking all decisions for her. The father, the brother, the uncles and bloody every male in the society advise her to be a certain way, dress a certain way, talk a certain way, walk a certain way, laugh a certain way. Only to be r***d by another man who might go about giving the same gyan to his mother/ sister/ wife.
Is it the way we dress, or that we are out late at night, or the way we talk? NO. Time and Again. NO! It’s the Independence of these f**kall men!! The thought that you can get away. Live to tell the tale of your so-called manhood! The sheer confidence men have in the system and the law of this land, shows in these monstrous acts.
There is no girl in the country today, and I say this with as much confidence as that man had while ra**ng a doctor, no girl in the country today who has not experienced this shamelessness of men! They stare, they grope, they touch, they cop a feel, they pull, they push, they kidnap, they r**e, they kill. How long are we going to start protests, join marches, light candles, plead to the judicial system?? 2012 – One Nirbhaya shook the entire country. All it did in my eyes was give woman some strength in coming out in the open and admitting that they did undergo something heinous! Did it bother the men?? NO! That’s the Independence we are celebrating. The Independence of these bastards!
I’m enraged, scared, horrified and torn to tears at the reports of this 31-year-old doctor. But how do we know, while we talk there might be another 5-year-old, 20-year-old, 40-year-old, even 80-year-old going through the same! The day we start imposing the highest levels of punishment for such crimes is the day we may see a reduction in these cases.
A land where Maa Kali is revered, one man had the guts to shatter a woman to pieces. It’s high time that an immediate punishment is declared for that as***le. High time that men are made to realise that you need to treat women as human, if not Devi. High time a woman recognises the Kali inside and trains herself to teach these men a lesson. High time boys are taught and raised to create a better world and hight time girls are raised without fear!
