Two centuries ago Moira Ramchandra Das from Dubrajhat in Bardhaman-Khandagosh, had a dream. His conviction of manufacturing the best confectionery took the then city by storm. I Rimita Das the accredited bonafide daughter of Swapan Kumar Das, the living progeny of Makhan Lal Das have now decided to carry on my heritage towards serving the people of Kolkata and Bengal extending the service to the world populace. Confectionery industry, the unique feature of Bengali culture has lifted the art of Bengali confectionery into the enviable summit of gastronomic aesthetics. Sandesh is the finest milk candy. We know it best. We can extend that skill in deep crevasse in other sub-categories of patisseries. Culture is communicated through the taste buds, Bengal has proved it.
