Kobipokkho – A Soulful Celebration in Santiniketan (13th June)
On 13th June, Kobipokkho at Santiniketan was not merely an exhibition; it was a heartfelt journey into the world of art, poetry, music, and the timeless spirit of Gurudev. Amidst the serene beauty of Santiniketan, where every breeze seems to carry a verse and every corner whispers stories, we experienced a day filled with creativity, warmth, and togetherness.
We had the privilege of staying at Olive Inn Guest House, where our gracious hosts Amit da and VijayLakhshmi di welcomed us with immense affection and care. Their hospitality, filled with kindness and homely warmth, made our stay truly special. The sumptuous meals lovingly prepared by them felt like an extension of Santiniketan’s own culture — simple, soulful, and full of love.
The exhibition became even more memorable as we felicitated the maestro duo — Sri Nilanjan Bandyopadhyay and Sri Sudhiranjan Mukherjee — whose artistic brilliance continues to inspire generations. We were also honoured to have our Guest of Honour, Mrs. Suparna Mukherjee, whose beautiful rendition of songs filled the atmosphere with melody and emotion, creating moments that will remain etched in our hearts.
Our exhibition showcased creations inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s philosophy and aesthetic vision — from thoughtfully designed curtains and cushion covers to intricate crochet works, each piece carried a story, a feeling, and a connection to the beauty of Bengal’s artistic heritage.
Kobipokkho, 13th June, became a celebration of creativity, culture, and companionship — a day where art found its voice, music found its soul, and hearts came together in the magical embrace of Santiniketan. It was truly a memorable chapter, one that will continue to inspire us.
