जनचेतना एक सांस्‍कृतिक और वैचारिक मुहिम है जो देश-दुनिया के प्रगतिशील साहित्‍य बेहद सस्‍ती दरों पर आमजन तक पहुँचाने के लिए संकल्‍पबद्ध है। हिन्दी क्षेत्र में यह अपने ढंग का एक अनूठा प्रयास है। एक भी वैतनिक स्टाफ के बिना, समर्पित वालण्टियरों और विभिन्न सहयोगी जनसंगठनों के कार्यकर्त्ताओं के बूते पर यह प्रोजे‍क्ट आगे बढ़ रहा है। जनचेतना परिकल्पना प्रकाशन, राहुल फाउण्डेशन के प्रकाशन प्रभाग, अरविन्‍द स्‍मृति न्‍यास, अनुराग ट्रस्ट और प्रांजल आर्ट पब्लिशर्स की पुस्तकों एवं कलात्‍मक सामग्री की मुख्य वितरक है। ये प्रकाशन पांच स्रोतों - सरकार, राजनीतिक पार्टियों, कारपोरेट घरानों, बहुराष्ट्रीय निगमों और विदेशी फण्डिंग एजेंसियों से किसी भी प्रकार का अनुदान या वित्‍तीय सहायता लिये बिना जनता से जुटाये गये संसाधनों के आधार पर आज के दौर के लिए ज़रूरी व महत्वपूर्ण साहित्य बेहद सस्ती दरों पर उपलब्ध कराने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। जनता से सहयोग लेकर जनता तक साहित्य पहुँचाने के इस उद्यम के तहत आज गोरखपुर और लखनऊ में नियमित बिक्री केन्द्र चलाने के अतिरिक्त, उत्तर भारत के अनेक नगरों जैसे नोएडा, गाज़ियाबाद, दिल्ली, चण्डीगढ़, लुधियाना आदि में जनचेतना के कार्यकर्ता साइकिलों पर, ठेलों पर, थैलों में किताबें लेकर जाते हैं, छोटी-बड़ी प्रदर्शनियाँ लगाते हैं, छोटे शहरों और कस्‍बों तक साहित्य पहुँचाते हैं। हम घर-घर तक सपने और विचार पहुँचा रहे हैं; जीवन, सृजन और प्रगति का नारा पहुँचा रहे हैं।

Janchetna is a cultural and ideological campaign aimed at providing the progressive literature to the masses at very low cost. This project is growing and developing and that too without any salaried staff rather with the help of dedicated volunteers, activists of associated institutions only. Janchetna is the main distributor of the books and arts published by Parikalpana Publication, Rahul Foundation, Arvind Smriti Nyas, Anurag Trust and Pranjal Art Publishers. These publications do not accept any type of financial help or grant from the five sources viz. government, political parties, corporate families, multinationals and foreign funding agencies and are committed to provide literature, relevant for the current time at a very low price with the resources provided by people. In this endeavor of taking assistance from people and providing literature to them, the volunteers associated with Janchetna hold small and large book exhibitions north Indian cities such as Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and other smaller cities and towns by carrying books on bicycles and handcarts apart from the regular book stores in Gorakhpur and Lucknow. We are taking the dreams, thoughts and the slogans of life, creativity and progress to the nooks and corners.
