Flag Day Storytelling:
Around 10 children participated in the Flag Day Storytelling. I was delighted to join our guest storyteller, Umayal from Tanjore, to create an engaging and meaningful experience for the kids.
We began with simple, age-appropriate facts about:
The partition of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh
The Indo–Pak war and Indo–China war
Stories of the Kargil War
The brave operation Sindhoor.
I also shared a personal memory about the army anna who helped my friends and me during our NCC trip - a moment that brought the spirit of the Armed Forces closer to the children.
*Out of the Box - Activity:*
We gave the children a printout with a simple rainbow line drawing and challenged them to draw or paint anything other than a rainbow. The results were absolutely fabulous
Each child showed their creative thinking skills.
Aarav turned the line into a dart game.
Vayunaa transformed into a tribal girl
Ridhanya turned the lines into a queen
little Visalakshi made a vibrant fruits rainbow, and Pugazhini drew a garden house.
Big thanks to Umayal for the wonderful activity and story session.
Every child showcased amazing imagination and confidence.
