A couple weeks of being quiet here means a lot has been going on behind the scenes! You see there’s still no social media manager at YHP and I’m still figuring how to be active here while doing actual work, sigh!

1 - Designed and tested some cute new bags for YHP - upcycled from a very special organza and block printed borders that I’ve saved from years of production .in
2,3 - Squeezed in some restful beach days
5 - Happy client that left the store wearing her shopping (one of my fav moments 🥰)
6,8 - Current fav shirt that I can’t get enough of
7,9,10 - Tofu, Miso being their silly selves
13,14,15,16 - Looking back at Tofu, Miso and feeling so grateful for how lovely and healthy they’ve grown into

Rest are snippets and sneak peeks from some of the things I’ve shot this week. May I get the strength to edit and post everything in time 🫠🧚🏼‍♂️

This time 3 years ago, we were neck deep in sawdust, paint, and last minute set-ups!

These pictures show the days before the store opened. It was exciting, exhilarating and a bit scary honestly. We were sure of what the physical space could become but what we didn’t anticipate was the growth of the community, the coming together of so many different ideas and people and styles.
Incredibly grateful for everyone who has been a part of this journey ✨

While we are in the business of selling you new, shiny, and beautiful garments, we also believe that what you already have could be enough if taken good care of. ✨
Fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world, and while we can’t always escape the lure of it, we would like to foster a better relationship with it.

This is a hard road to embark on and most brands and designers don’t encourage mending and repairing because it’s time consuming and not financially viable - but with a tiny repair or redo, one can avoid the garment going into a landfill. Having this relationship with your garment has been an intrinsic part of the Indian culture. We’ve all grown up with clothes being used to their maximum potential, but with the onset of fast fashion and a fast paced life, this is happening less and less.

We also heard our community in Goa - who said that they can’t easily find tailors to do basic alterations. This one’s for you especially.

Introducing YHP Atelier. Where we enable you to give your existing garments a new lease on life. Alter or Upcyle them with a variety of embroidery, or patchwork techniques 🌱

What you have to do: Dig into your wardrobe for pieces that need a new lease on life. It may have a tear, a hole, a stain or just doesn’t fit right. You may not like the sleeves or the length - just bring it to so we can help you fix it or upcycle it.

We’re also super proud to announce a new Pre-Loved section that we’re adding to the store that will ensure you can pick up some stunning pieces at amazing prices.
So join us in avoiding the lure of fast fashion and mindless consumption and giving these clothes (and your clothes) a new lease of life.
