In my struggle to understand my absymal reach numbers lately, I realised that I may be on the other side of the Instagram algorithm - but so are my friends. But also, my friends are on my side. We are on the same side.

And it all makes sense suddenly, I am, because they are, you are.

you don't forget stories from even the most mundane of the days. emma was found in saket in a secondhand book stall for fifty rupees while you were mindlessly waiting around for al bake to open. Oh and you also got those black beaded earrings from the stall around the corner that day, what a steal. 10 years from then, today, it still sits pretty with you

time to get a coffee and call mumma, it's six past seven. let's call it a day then.

a huge beautiful tree stands right by your window, where you catch a breather after a rather heated zoom conference

and you suddenly remember, why the keen-ness towards the golden shower tree - you always knew you liked them - but, right when this friend of yours called them the-trees-that-are-there-just-everywhere, that's when you made them your absolute favorite

are you sure they're your favorite though? the question makes you love them even more, that's for sure

and what is favourite anyway? and why pick one when the entire tree is yours, and it follows you everywhere you go.

If at this point, you think she knows what time and place she's going to come into your life, you're probably right.

On a rather hot May evening, you'll want to catch some fresh air - so you come out of your cosy studio apartment in the suburbs. And right when you think you can accomodate night walks into your routine because of how good it makes you feel, you find the prettiest tiniest of the beings playing amongst those well manicured shrubs. Princessing in between a broken Barbie tiara, a half eaten eraser and a yellow crazy ball, and some dog food. Well, so she's here, just like that - she's been sent.

You come back home after 40 mins of struggle, it will be one hell of a story to tell.

If you still haven't met her, you most probably will - soon. She's working on the plot and you'll know it when the time is right.

This lifetime with her, is meant to be.

It's 6.47pm on a hump day. Work is over, but also not yet, but you feel like fixing a quick cup of long black. You step into the balcony with it, your 28 plants greet you.
You feel proud - until last year you couldn't save the sturdiest of their clan, and here we are to this day, you see. You're magical.

But then you also feel like you should light a candle, let's make this break a quick date?

So you do.
And you do you.

And that's it. You breathe the finest that you've breathed through the day.

You've caught a moment of fairytale today, and that's your win. And you live for such wins, and applauses from you to you on some days.
