Reviews and feedback play a very important role when you're building a D2C brand. ❤️
They don't just help customers understand what the product is like—they also build trust. They reassure people that real customers exist, the website is genuine, and they won't get spammed or scammed.
When we first got listed on Amazon and other marketplaces, almost every mentor and account manager told us the same thing: "Get reviews." Whether that meant paid reviews or asking friends to place an order and leave feedback, it was considered almost compulsory.
When we launched our own website, it was the same story. Many people were hesitant to order because, with so many scams online, they weren't sure if we were a genuine brand.
We did ask a few friends to leave reviews in the beginning, but very soon we realised it didn't feel right. It sounded fake. So we removed them and decided to wait. 🙏
About three months after launch, something beautiful started happening. People began sharing their experiences on their own. They recommended us to friends and family, posted about us on Instagram, sent us WhatsApp messages, and left reviews on our website. 💚
Today, we know that 1 in every 5 customers comes back to order again, and around 1 in every 30 customers takes the time to share their feedback. That means the world to us.
We still need to build a better system to collect and organise reviews more efficiently, but we're incredibly grateful that we've already received 100+ genuine feedbacks across our website, WhatsApp, and Instagram. 🌿
And nothing makes us happier than reading messages from customers saying, "My kids have been enjoying the chikkis." ❤️
To everyone who has ever taken a minute to write a review, send a message, or recommend us to someone else—thank you. You've helped build Sahrudaya's trust, one honest feedback at a time. 🤍
