◼ Concept: ‘Jatra’ is an integral part of Maharashtrian and Indian ancient culture. Organization of such Jatra once a year, brings about a positive change in society. Entertainment is not only the purpose of Jatra, but it is the multidimensional purpose of bringing together all the elements of the society, enhancing social cohesion, boosting the economy. Corporator Shrimati Kalinda Punde (Corporator Of Wanorie) & Ashwini Shewale , Sana Sayyed introduced the concept of 'Jatra' to create a link between ancient rural culture and modern smart city lifestyle. This jatra organized in Wanorie area in Pune city, which is a part of 100 Smart Cities Mission with a population of 25 lakh. Due to its close proximity with divine places like Hadapsar, Undri , Salunke Vihar Solapur Bazaar Shinde Chatri Jhulelal Mandir area has a historical importance. Every year, at the end of January, Bharari Bachat G*t Manch organizes Jatra for 3 days which is visited by millions of citizens. Although the noble social purpose of women empowerment is the central theme, Jatra is designed in such a way that every member of society enjoys to the fullest

◼ Jatra 2020 highlights:
1. In 3 days More than 5 lakh visits. No event in Pune District has pulled such a huge crowd on a very first year
3. 580 women self help groups and more than 1000 individual women entrepreneurs participated in event
3. Turnover of about Rs 4.5+ crore
4. 25+ stalls allocated to Govt organizations for effective citizen outreach on govt schemes and services
5. Crowd puller attractions: Children's Baljatra, Bhajan Competition for Women, Rural Food Festival, Women's Health Camp, Fashion Show, Dance Competition, Women Entrepreneurship Guide, Home Minister Program, Traditional Sports for Women
