Suscin

Suscin Suscin is a sustainable product's brand created for those who actually take responsibility for their choices and opt for living a more sustainable lifestyle

Our purpose is to raise awareness of the condition of our own Mother Earth. We are trying to save our planet and make a difference. We are living on this planet as if we had another to go to. Together we can accomplish anything. There are so many issues on land happening right this second like land degradation, deforestation, pollution, global warming, climate change, biodiversity loss, habitat lo

ss, wetlands disappearing, the list goes on. By reusing and recycling and trying to implement the circular economy system, can lead to a healthier planet. We are never too late nor small to make a change, start small and become huge. For when the dust settles, we will realise how much we have, how little we need and most of all, the value of human connection. Save our mother. For what I stand for, is what I stand on. Thus our idea behind this is SUSCIN. We at Suscin aims for sustainability in everyone's lifestyle. Suscin is a community of people who are more concerned for the environment and want to spread the news that there are better options out there to live out life more sustainably without much harm to the environment
And for the product side, we are soon launching our t-shirt collection which is made of Bamboo fabric and bamboo toothbrushes.

The pandemic and the climate crisis have worsened inequality.

The number of COVID vaccine doses per 100 people was more than 13x higher in high-income countries compared to low-income countries this month.

Poorer people are also least responsible for the climate crisis but most likely to feel its effects.

Surely inequality is enough of a reason, ON ITS OWN, for taking significant action to fix this system. Surely. Surely???

Exaggerated cartoon or the truth?

The truth ✅

If you turn on the news, there is never too much told about the climate crisis and if it is spoken about, it is always talking positively such as talking about how there are thousands of trees being planted and protected (like in this image) and how more plastic is being recycled then ever and all the plans and pledges being made to tackle the climate crisis. There is rarely any truth in what they say. What I mean by that is that they are only showing what they want to show, they are not saying that the world emits 43 billion tons of carbon dioxide each year or that 15 billion trees are cut down annually. People who do not do their own research into the climate crisis will not realise that it is indeed a crisis because all they are being told is the fairytales of how the world is improving. This is extremely dangerous because if people don’t know that it is a crisis, they simply will not treat it as a crisis which will just add fuel the the fire. And I believe that this is why there are so many people out there who don’t believe in climate change and who make it there life’s mission to degrade and humiliate those who know the truth. It’s not that they are bad people, it’s just that they are uneducated in this particular area. It is very important to do your own research in situations like the climate crisis because it’s not that the media is lying, they are just not telling the truth. The full truth.

"Too many people think the grass is greener on the other side. The grass is greener where you water it!" I love this quote, it's so true in so many ways.

When we invest time nurturing relationships, work, picking up litter in our neighborhoods, that's when things start to improve!!!

It's a sad state of affairs when people feel they have to apologize for appearing in the same outfit more than once on Instagram.
But this is what fast fashion has done to us. It has given us "disposable fashion," clothes so cheap that people can afford to buy new ones constantly.
In the process, our society has developed a perverse sense of shame regarding repeat fashion appearances, which has devastating environmental consequences.
Sadly, even if a person does fall in love with their new fast-fashion clothing item, it's unlikely they'd be able to keep it. These pieces are so shoddily made that they tend to fall apart after a few washes.
When you stop to consider the resources that go into creating each of these pieces of clothing, it's highly distressing. Just because they cost the consumer relatively little, they still come with a big footprint - the true cost of which is absorbed somewhere else along the line, usually by the poverty-stricken workers and developing nations with minimal waste-management infrastructure where the clothes originate.
Is anyone else giving up fast fashion in the New Year and embracing being a proud outfit repeater?

Our planet now faces a global extinction crisis never witnessed by humankind. Scientists predict that more than 1 million species are on track for extinction in the coming decades.

Each time a species goes extinct, the world around us unravels a bit. The consequences are profound, not just in those places and for those species but for all of us. These are tangible consequential losses, such as crop pollination and water purification, but also spiritual and cultural ones.
