Trifed | MD Visits Tribes India Showroom, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu
On 5 September 2026, Shri M. Rajamurugan, IPS, Managing Director, Trifed, visited the Tribes India Showroom located within the historic premises of the Thanjavur Big Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional architectural and cultural legacy of the Chola period.
During the visit, the Managing Director took keen interest in the wide range of traditional tribal products displayed at the showroom. Its unique location within this historic heritage setting brings together India’s tribal traditions, indigenous craftsmanship and rich cultural heritage, offering visitors an opportunity to discover and appreciate the diversity of India’s traditional arts and crafts.
The Managing Director interacted with the showroom team and emphasised the need to leverage all possible promotional avenues to expand the reach of Tribes India products, strengthen market access and create greater market opportunities for tribal artisans and communities.
