Everything in this post is 1,400 to 3,500 years old. I’d wear all of it tomorrow.
A Celtic neck ring in half a kilo of gold. A Byzantine belt built from imperial coins. A girdle of gold fish from an Egyptian royal tomb. Cuffs with a pharaoh’s name inscribed on the inside, facing the skin.
Three cultures, two thousand years apart, all landing on the same shapes we’re still buying — the disc, the crescent, the coin, the cuff, the signet.
