Analogue Connect — Chapter 14

We’re glad to share that the fourteenth chapter of Analogue Connect will be held on 8th August 2026.

We are privileged to have Dr. Ringee Eden Wangdi our featured books for this chapter. 

About our featured book:

Dr. Ringee Eden Wangdi is a senior educator, dramatist, and literary figure from Darjeeling.

She retired as the teacher in charge,Southfield College,Darjeeling.

Dr Ringee taught Nepali language and literature for more than 38 years.

Drama has always been her first love. She has staged a number of plays publicly and also received admiration and accolades for staging plays like " Bhrikuti","Luni" and " Dafeychari".

She is the recipient of Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council Award for her research work on Shivkumar Rai the legendary Indian Nepali writer.

As always we look forward to meeting you on the 8th— listening to the  story of our featured book and spending time together the analogue way. Come join us we have a seat saved for you!

On the 2nd of August, as a gentle monsoon drizzle washed over Salbari, a special kind of warmth gathered inside Cafe The Twins.

We officially celebrated the launch of Adhuro—the debut book by young local author Vaishnav Singh Khati.

Dr. Priyanka Chatterjee addressed the audience as the official book reviewer, speaking beautifully on the need for patience, empathy, honesty, ethics, and criticality in meaningful writing.

This was followed by an engaging discussion between the author and Siddarth Chettri a public speaker and an aspiring writer.

By the time dusk settled, the cafe was overflowing with smiles, applause, and genuine appreciation for local talent.

A year ago, writer Rana Kafle traveled to us from Karbi Anglong, Assam, to launch his work. As he sat in our cafe looking out over the bookshelves and the gentle hum of the room, something clicked. He found inspiration waiting in every shadow and page.

That spark became Cafe The Twins: a collection of 24 poems written in Nepali, opening with a direct ode to this very space.

He held onto a dream: to bring these pages back home and launch the book right where the muse first struck. On the 29th of July, he launched his book at Cafe The Twins, completing a full circle moment and honoring us with his words.

Moments like today remind us why we opened our doors in the first place. We’ve always believed a bookcafe should be more than just steam from an espresso machine or seats at a table.

It is meant to be a sanctuary for epiphanies, a canvas for local artists, writers, and dreamers and a gathering space where strangers become friends over conversations.

Whether you’re writing your first chapter, losing yourself in a favorite novel or simply looking for a place to think and just be—you belong here.

Looking back at the beautiful evening we shared for the July edition of Analogue Connect.

Our hearts are so full after gathering together for another beautiful session of Analogue Connect.
In a world that moves so fast, it was incredibly special to slow down, put away our screens and simply listen to the incredible " *Featured* books" who shared their personal stories with us.

Our *Featured* Books:

Sujata Pradhan, an educator for almost 22 years, spoke about how meditation and yoga helped her to navigate through crises in her life.

Dhiraj Pradhan, the Co-owner of the We Rise Foundation, *Counsellor and Yoga instructor* who has been in recovery from substance abuse for 21+ years shared his journey - *from brokenness to addiction to Sobriety - helping individuals and families along the journey*...

It was truly heartening and inspiring to listen to two speakers who were able to find the right anchors in life, to see greater meaning and purpose of being and to be overcomers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Analogue Connect, brought an open heart and contributed to such a warm, meaningful evening of conversation. We are so grateful for this community.
