Respected chief guests, respected teachers, parents and colleagues, I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my views on this auspicious occasion of independence day. This is our 75th independence day celebrations. Just seventy - five years ago, we had freedom. The saga of our freedom struggle is a legend which cannot be described in one day. Independence day is very important for every Indian.
Seventy - five years ago the British ruled us and came to India under the pretext of trade and gradually subjured us and made us our slaves. After fighting many agitations and battles India became independent on 15 August 1947. We became free today because of the brave warriors of our country and celebrate this day by paying tribute to them. The independence day is one of India 's national festivals.
What am I doing?

आदरणीय मुख्य अतिथि महोदय, सम्माननीय शिक्षकगण, अभिभावक एवं मेरे साथियों, स्वतंत्रता दिवस के इस पावन अवसर पर अपने विचार व्यक्त करने का सुअवसर प्राप्त कर मुझे हर्ष की अनुभूति हो रही है। यह हमारा 75वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह है। आज से ठीक 75 वर्ष पूर्व, हमें आजादी मिली थी। हमारे आजादी के संघर्ष की गाथा बहुत बड़ी है जिसका वर्णन एक दिन में नहीं हो सकता है। हर भारतीय के लिए स्वतंत्रता दिवस बहुत महत्व रखता है।

आज से 75 वर्ष पूर्व हम पर अंग्रेजों का शासन था, वे व्यापार के बहाने भारत आए और धीरे-धीरे सब कुछ अपने अधीन कर लिया और हमें अपना गुलाम बना लिया। फिर कई आंदोलन और लड़ाई लड़ने के बाद 15 अगस्त 1947 को भारत स्वतंत्र हुआ। हमारे देश के वीर योद्धाओं की वजह से आज हम स्वतंत्र हुए हैं और उन लोगों को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए इस दिन को मनाते हैं। स्वतंत्रता दिवस भारत के राष्ट्रीय पर्वों में से एक है।
