ഇന്ന് vintage reel-to-reel spool-ൽ “ദേവാങ്കണങ്ങൾ” പ്ലേ ചെയ്‌തപ്പോൾ,
അത് ഒരു പാട്ട് കേട്ട അനുഭവമല്ല—
ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തെ വീണ്ടും കൈകളിൽ പിടിച്ച പോലെയുള്ള ഒരു അനലോഗ് മായാജാലം.
റീൽ തിരിഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങുന്ന ചെറിയ ശബ്ദത്തിൽ പോലും ഒരു ചൂടും ആത്മാവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
യേശുദാസിന്റെയും Johnson Master-ന്റെയും ദിവ്യമായ സ്പർശം അനലോഗ് warmth-ൽ ചേർന്ന്
ഹൃദയത്തെ നേരെ സ്പർശിച്ച ഒരു മറക്കാനാവാത്ത നിമിഷം.

ഇന്ന് വീട്ടിൽ ഒരു പഴയ vintage reel-to-reel spool എടുത്ത് പൊടിമാറ്റുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ,
ഒരു കാലത്തിന്റെയും സംഗീതത്തിന്റെയും മണമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
അനലോഗ് കാലത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ഉച്ചത്തിലുള്ള നെടുവീർപ്പ്…
കയ്യിൽ പിടിക്കുമ്പോൾ പോലും അതിൽ ഒരു ജീവസ്പന്ദനം തോന്നും.

സ്പൂൾ മെഷീനിൽ വെച്ച് play button അമർത്തുന്ന ആ ചെറിയ നിമിഷം—
ഒന്നോർക്കുമ്പോഴും മനസ്സ് നിശ്ചലമാകുന്ന ഒരു timetravel ആണ്.
റീൽ മൃദുവായി തിരിഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങുന്നു…
ആ ലഘുഭേദ്യമുള്ള hiss…
മനസ്സിനെ കുളിര്മയാക്കുന്ന ഒരു analogue warmth…

അപ്പോൾ… അതിനിടയിൽ “ദേവാങ്കണങ്ങൾ” പകരുന്ന ആ സ്വർഗ്ഗീയ സംഗീതം.
യേശുദാസിന്റെ ശബ്ദം spool-ിലൂടെ ഒഴുകിയപ്പോൾ, അത് വെറും ഒരു പാട്ടായി തോന്നിയില്ല—
ഒരു ദിവ്യാനുഭവം പോലെ, സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും ഇടക്ക് നിന്നു കേൾക്കുന്ന ഒരു melodious whisper എന്ന് പോലെ.

Johnson Master-ന്റെ സ്പർശം അതിനെ കൂടുതൽ മായികമാക്കി.
ഓരോ നോട്ടിലും ഒരു ദുഃഖമധുരം…
ഓരോ താളിലും ഒരു ദൈവികത…
അനലോഗ് സ്പൂളിന്റെ ചൂടിൽ അതിന് ഒരു ജീവന്റെ തിളക്കം കിട്ടി.
ഇന്നത്തെ digital clarity-യിൽ കിട്ടാത്ത human soul അതിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

“ദേവാങ്കണങ്ങൾ…” spool-ൽ കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ,
കണ്ണുകൾ സ്വയം അടയുന്നു…
മനസ്സ് മൃദുവായി പഴയ ഓർമ്മകളിലേക്കും, മലയാളം സംഗീതം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ആ
കാലഘട്ടത്തിലേക്കും തിരിച്ചു പോകുന്നു.

അന്നത്തെ സ്റ്റുഡിയോകളിലെ recording rooms…
സംഗീതജ്ഞരുടെ ചർച്ചകൾ…
hiss ഉം warmth ഉം നിറഞ്ഞ അതിമധുരമായ playback…
ഒന്ന് പോലും കാണാൻ സാധിക്കാത്ത കാലം,
പക്ഷേ ഇന്നും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ തെളിഞ്ഞുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഓർമ്മകൾ.

ഇന്ന് ആ vintage spool ഒരു പാട്ട് പ്ലേ ചെയ്‌തില്ല…
ഒരു കാലഘട്ടം തന്നെയായിരുന്നു പ്ലേ ചെയ്തത്.
ഒരു സംസ്കാരത്തിന്റെ, ഒരു സംഗീതത്തിന്റെ,
ഒരു മായാജാലത്തിന്റെ സജീവ സാക്ഷ്യം.

ഞാൻ കേട്ടത് “ദേവാങ്കണങ്ങൾ” എന്നൊരു പാട്ടല്ല—
പറയാൻ വാക്കുകളില്ലാത്ത ഒരു അനുഭവം.
പണ്ടത്തെ സംഗീതത്തിന്റെ രക്തമാംസമുള്ള സ്നേഹം.
അനലോഗ് കാലത്തിന്റെ ചൂട്.
മറക്കാനാവാത്ത ഹൃദയത്തട്ടുന്ന ഒരു യാത്ര.
