It started with a simple question from someone looking for a space to truly unwind: "Can we do this, just one-on-one?"

From a few months Creative Reset has been the flagship experience of LS Creates. It’s always been about bringing groups together to step away from daily noise, breathe, create without fear of judgment and feel joyful.

But when a special request came in for an one on one, wellness-focused retreat experience, it pushed me to rethink how intimate a reset could actually be.

Group settings carry a shared energy, but a 1-on-1 space allows us to go deeper. It becomes completely tailor-made. No rush, no audience just a quiet, safe sanctuary designed around one person’s need to slow down and reconnect with themselves.

I’ve always believed that art and creativity are two very different things. Art comes with rules, styles, and expectations.
Creativity? Creativity is pure, raw imagination anything your hands bring to life when you give yourself permission to try.

Stepping into this new, cozy format was a gentle reminder that Creative Reset is about designing moments of quiet transformation🎨

Did you know that the color blue is actually an illusion?

Two things I learned while creating this piece completely changed how I look at this shade:

1️⃣ Nature doesn't actually make blue pigment. Fewer than 10% of plants have blue flowers, and almost no animals possess true blue pigment. That blue butterfly or bird you see? It's physics. Microscopic nanostructures scatter light, reflecting only blue wavelengths back to your eyes. If you change the light, the blue disappears.

2️⃣ It was once worth more than gold. Because physical blue couldn't be harvested from nature, Renaissance artists had to mine Lapis Lazuli gemstones from deep mountains, grinding them into a pigment called Ultramarine. It was so rare and expensive that it was reserved strictly for royals and sacred figures.

Painting this piece made me realize how much blue resembles us. It is born from light, structure, and incredible rarity. We aren't always made of simple, obvious colors so much of our beauty comes from how we process, hold, and reflect the light around us.

I walked into this Creative Reset session expecting a room full of corporate professionals. You know… a little serious, a little reserved. I imagined people would come in, do the activities, interact for a while, and then get back to their day.

But somewhere between the colours, threads, paint and conversations, something changed🎨✨ People started laughing, teasing each other about their drawings, experimenting with colours and doing things that weren't even part of the instructions.

We gave them paper to create on, and someone decided to paint on the paper plate instead and honestly?
That moment itself felt like creativity to me.

Because creativity isn't limited to artists. It's not always about creating a perfect picture of what we see. Creativity lies in perspective, and no two people see the world in exactly the same way.

Sometimes creativity is using a different material. Sometimes it's mixing colours without knowing what you'll get. Sometimes it's creating something completely different from what you originally imagined. And sometimes, it's simply allowing yourself to create without worrying whether it's good enough. 🤍

As the session went on, I realised something else too. These weren't just corporate employees doing an art activity. For those few hours, they were laughing, playing, experimenting and teasing each other like children again. I absolutely loved witnessing that. 🥹

We may grow up. We may have jobs, deadlines, responsibilities and titles. But I don't think the part of us that wants to play, explore and create ever really disappears. Sometimes, it just needs a little space to come back. ✨

That's what makes Creative Reset so special to me. It's not about making artists. It's about giving people a space to pause, explore, reconnect and remember that creativity belongs to all of us.

Because sometimes, all it takes is a little paint, a few colours and the freedom to play to turn corporate adults into corporate children again🫶🎨
