CONFIRMED BREAKING WOLF NEWS! We’re thrilled to officially confirm with you all that just moments ago, we confirmed California born wolf LAS13M, the breeding male of the Gearhart Mountain Family and grandson of OR7 (Journey) Lone Wolf sired 3 WOLF PUPS with female OR-115 in 2022! This now means officially LAS13M is a first time father and the second known Lassen Family offspring to reproduce and have pups of their own! The first was his older sister LAS09F born in the 2018 litter who’s the current Lassen Family breeding female.
LAS13M is the first California born wolf to disperse to Oregon in decades when he made the historic journey into Oregon in October 2020. His father was the Lassen Family’s original breeding male now identified as LAS02M and he was born into southwest Oregons Rogue Family in 2014. LAS13Ms mother was the Lassen Family’s originals breeding female and dispersed into California from Wyoming. LAS13M was born in the 2019 litter and his fellow littermate/sister LAS12F founded the Beckwourth Family in California. The Mt Gearhart Family, the wolf family LAS13M has founded in Western Oregon, consists of 5 wolves (LAS13M the breeding male, OR-115 the breeding female, and their 3 offspring).
