Here are some of the coloring sheets that will be available at the Palouse Music Festival this Saturday 🥰 Did you know the Appaloosa Horse was originally bred in the Palouse region? That's where the breed's name comes from! I love the imagery of having the patterned horse in front of the patterned landscape of Kamiak Butte on this coloring sheet, and it's one I am personally very excited to work on. Then of course I had to do a quail coloring sheet. When I moved to the area, I cried the first time I saw one running around with its little bobble dangler 🥺
So honored to work alongside Palouse Arts Council for this event, and so happy to bring culture and creativity to our little community ❤️

WIP Wednesday! I'm working on some cards for the shop. Have you heard of them before? They are trading card sized originals (or limited release prints). Their small size makes them super easy to for collecting and storing/displaying, or trading. And their price range makes original pieces of art accessible to those who may not be able to afford canvas sized creations.
Here is my very first attempt at a card! It is mixed media water color and acrylic paint. I wanted to explore creating shadows, highlights, and bounced light using non-neutrals and a bit of color theory for some visual interest. What do you think? Could you see yourself collecting ACEO cards? What about creating them?

I'll update once mine are available in store and online! I would also love to host other artists interested in selling theirs through Kelpy Mart, or hosting a club through our community studio 🥰
