Liquid nitrogen fertilizer (UAN)
Liquid fertilizer UAN (Urea Ammonium Nitrate) is a of urea & ammonium nitrate and a few percentage Of phosphate compound as an inhibitor in water.UAN is produced and supplied to the market in different grades of 28%, 30% and 32% nitrogen.
Soil nitrogen up take of this fertilizer is more than other nitrogen fertilizer. This property reduces its consumption per hectare. Due to lower ph, this fertilizer is more compatible with the nature of alkaline soil.
Appling the UAN fertilizer is neither costly nor complicated. In arid and semi-arid areas, where rain fall is low and water shortages are occurring, water are fertilizer consumption management is a priority.
The use of this fertilizer improves the absorption of nutrients and is a way to maintain soil fertility. Therefore, optimal use of this fertilizer will bring more profit to farmers.
