KEF Airport 🚀 Rammagerðin var stofnuð árið 1940 og hefur áratugum saman verslað með ullarvarning og fatnað úr íslensku ullinni. Enn í dag er megináhersla lögð á að selja hönnun og handverk frá hundruðum aðila um allt land. Rammagerðin er afar stolt af aldri sínum og arfleifð og leggur rækt við að viðhalda sterku sambandi við hönnuði og handverksfólk sem framleiðir varning til sölu í verslunum Rammagerðar. Um 100 manns prjóna reglulega peysur, vettlinga, sokka og húfur sem koma „beint frá býli“ í verslanir Rammagerðar í viku hverri. Verslanir okkar má finna í Flugstöð Leifs Eiríkssonar, Lava eldfjallasetrinu á Hvolsvelli, Perlunni og í miðbæ Reykjavíkur; Skólavörðustíg 12.

Each piece is lovingly knitted by hand, stitch by stitch, in their own homes. It is a time-consuming process that requires patience, skill and years of experience.

Step into the surreal world of one of Iceland’s most distinctive contemporary artists.

Gabríela Friðriksdóttir works across painting, sculpture, drawing, video, performance and installation — creating mysterious worlds where nature, mythology, dreams and imagination come together. 🌑✨

Her work has been exhibited internationally, and in 2005 she represented Iceland at the Venice Biennale.

Now, her work comes to life at SKÖPUN. 🖤
