Handmade ouds, darbukas, handpans and santurs — built in our own workshops in Izmir, shipped worldwide from Italy.
If we wouldn't play it ourselves, we don't sell it.
Tapadum started because our founder — a musician — couldn't find traditional instruments that were actually built to be played. Most of what he found was decorative. So he went to the source: Turkey, Iran, and months in the workshops of master luthiers.
Today there are two workshops in Izmir, one for percussion and one for strings, with a specialist looking after each family of instrument. Every oud, baglama, santur, darbuka, daf, bendir, ney and handpan is inspected and set up by hand before it leaves us.
