the garden of your imagination
Protect with time, silence, freedom
the mental place where you will cultivate
it and countless talents will blossom
like fragrant and colorful flowers
Fuel your inner growth
with love, intelligence and discipline
so that every little germ of a good idea
will sprout happy
and vulgarity, arrogance and oppression
will never be able to tarnish them
Indulge your innermost emotions
with the right to exist and the duty to be heard
Fragility in the fresh air
will transform them, like olive trees and oaks,
into shrubs with a gentle strength
And I fly high and listen to the song of the larks
While the sun intoxicates the gardens
of our thoughts with summer, I ask myself:
and if talent were nothing but the unit of measurement of Heaven,
will we return again and again as we are
or as the finest bloom of our lives?
