We are so happy to finally unveil the cover of the next book of the Thoughts One Can't Do Without Series: Under Conditions Not of Our Choosing by Andrew Ross!
Andrew Ross reflects on his experience of combining activism with writing to offer guidance on how we can meet our political obligations when presented with events of historical significance. Discussing what solidarity, inspiration, opportunism, and consensus might mean for us today, Ross looks at the events of the past few years with a qualified optimism informed by a "rich archive of venerated icons, actions, and movements".
Andrew Ross is a social activist and Professor of Social and Cultural Analysis at NYU. A contributor to the Guardian, the New York Times, The Nation, Artforum, and Al Jazeera, he is the author or editor of more than twenty books, including Creditocracy and the Case for Debt Refusal, Bird on Fire, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Fast Boat to China, No-Collar, and The Celebration Chronicles. His latest book, Stone Men: The Palestinians Who Built Israel, was the winner of a Palestine Book Award.
Out on 11th November and available to preorder.
We are also very excited to announce that Juxta Press will be participating in the upcoming online edition of the Palestine Writes Literature Festival (December 2nd - 6th). More details soon!
