Summer is easy to photograph. September is when the envelope has to work.
A ventilated rainscreen keeps a continuous air cavity behind the cladding, typically 40 to 80 mm, sized to the project. Air moves from base to crown. Moisture does not sit against the insulation. The structural wall is not the weather face.
That chimney effect is not a summer-only trick. It is how the façade handles rain, condensation and thermal stress for the life of the building.
Specify the cavity. Then the finish.
