This is a brief summary of what is needed to ski/snowboard in Sauze d’Oulx with the current Covid regulations for UK visitors. Please be aware that these can change at any time and these are the regulations today (06/12/21). This has been compiled to the best of our ability but we are not responsible for any errors or omissions.
We have included some links below if you need to do your own research and for you to keep up-to-date with regulations.
Today the "Super Green Pass" comes into force which means you'll need to show your fully vaccinated pass (digital or paper) to access bars, restaurants etc. But you can access slopes and ski with a normal Green Pass (see information below).
Please be aware that we don't make these regulations, they're implemented by the Italian Government. We are not able to answer all questions, but we will try to help.
TRAVEL TO ITALY
Arrivals from the UK must
1. Take a swab test in the 48 hours prior to entering Italy and have a negative certificate (digital or paper) to show your airline (not applicable for children 6 and under).
2. You will also need to fill in a passenger locator form https://app.euplf.eu/ #/
3. Present a document or app showing full vaccination.
NON-VACCINATED & PARTIALLY VACCINATED 12+
Travellers who are not fully vaccinated and who have been in the UK in the 14 preceding days must:
- Present a negative molecular or antigen test taken in the 48 hours before entering Italy;
- Fill in the online Passenger Locator Form;
- Quarantine for 5 days at the address indicated on the Passenger Locator Form;
- Take a molecular or antigen test at the end of the quarantine period.
BUT
According to the Italian tourism board: “Persons under the age of 18 are exempted from the obligation of isolation (where applicable) only if they are accompanied by an adult (parent or other companion) in possession of a Covid green certificate (green pass).”
GREEN PASS and SUPER GREEN PASS. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
1. You can get a Green Pass with an antigen (express) test every 48 hours or if you’re fully vaccinated.
2. A Super Green Pass is only available to people who have been fully vaccinated.
GREEN PASS
Fully vaccinated with document stating that you have been fully vaccinated (this can be digital or paper) or a negative antigen test with certificate every 48 hours.
SUPER GREEN PASS
Fully vaccinated with document stating that you have been fully vaccinated (this can be digital or paper)
UK EQUIVALENCE
If you have been vaccinated twice you should have a certificate either paper or digital. This is the equivalent of the Super Green Pass and will be accepted as such.
EXEMPTIONS
1. People exempt for health reasons from vaccination and who have the appropriate medical certificate.
2. Children under 12.
CHILDREN
1. COVID-19 Green Certification is not required for children under 12.
2. Between 12+ years old a vaccination, antigen or exemption certificate is required.
ON THE LIFTS AND SLOPES
A normal Green Pass is enough to be able to use the ski lifts and slopes.
RESTAURANTS, BARS ETC
A Super Green Pass is required to sit down inside, but you can stand and drink at the bar without this or sit at a table outside.
COVID TESTS
Sauze Pharmacy (Farmacia) is offering express (antigen) covid testing for children and adults. The prices are: children €8, Adults €15. Once you have had your test, the pharmacy will print you out a certificate. The pharmacy expects to be able to offer PCR tests soon.
