We secured 3 junior awards and 2 senior awards with some very tough competition. Well done to all the floats for all their awards it was an exceptionally high quality this year.

The plans are all ready being drawn out for next year… can you guess the theme? 💀🧡🇲🇽💃

Lastly a huge thank you to all the team who have but many many hours in to making the float and to our other exhibitor friends who make the parade what it is.

Last is the larger than life Mayhem

This is a group project by 4 of the children. This larger than life monkey has been lovingly tufted over several weeks and has some very cool light up eyes.

Next in the monkey madness is our Mischief

Made by Mr Harvey this gorgeous monkey is tufted and paper balled. Harvey told us last year tufting was too tricky but this year he has invented his own very unique brand of tufting using a builder pencil ✏️ We think he looks fab what do you think? 💪🏻

Say hello to peanut 🥜

This monkey has been tufted with love by Michelle. It was a model generously loaned to us from the optimists club. He has been cling filmed to preserve the model then paper mache and tufted for many hours by Michelle.

Fun fact- the edges on the tufts are all created with ribbed scissors to give a fluffy texture.

Next in the monkey madness is the aptly named monkey Chaos.

He is a cheeky monkey who has gotten himself into a barrel of fruit. This was created by Rachael with some help from the small Human JP. It has paper mache work, rolled paper flowers, 3D paper fruit and individual jungle vines and moss all hand crafted from scratch.
