“More Than Meets the Eye” is my first solo exhibition, opening in Amman on July 24th, 2026, at 8 PM at Jadal Gallery and lasting for one week until July 31st.

The exhibition will feature contemporary folk art pieces inspired by Circassian and Jordanian heritage, as well as handcrafted souvenirs.

Join us for the opening reception on July 24th at 8 PM to discover this cultural space and experience.

No entrance fee.

“أكثر مما تراه العين” هو معرضي الفني الفردي الأول، الذي ينطلق في عمّان يوم 24 تموز/يوليو 2026 في تمام الساعة 8 مساءً في “معرض جدل” (Jadal Gallery)، ويستمر لمدة أسبوع كامل حتى ال٣١ من تموز/يوليو.

سيضم المعرض قطعاً من الفن الشعبي المعاصر المستوحى من التراث الشركسي والأردني، بالإضافة إلى تذكارات مصنوعة يدويّاً.

This painting of a Circassian woman, originally exhibited at .gallery, travelled to the home of a couple in France before I had the chance to share it here separately, so here it is.

Painted with ink and watercolors, then a layer of opaque gold. I wanted it to be ethereal but also have an element of gild to it.

Watercolors and ink are actually my first passion in art and also the most difficult medium. Unlike what most people think, they’re not easy.

All of your movement and thinking process shows. There’s no room to hide or mask anything, which means you need intimate knowledge of your subject and enough imagination to move confidently without making it feel heavy.

كل عام وأنتم بخير بمناسبة استقلال الأردن- السنة الثمانين 🇯🇴 الحمدلله على نعمة التنوع. ميزتوا شو اللباس التراثي بالرسمات؟ وطبعا نسيج الأردن لسى متنوع أكتر وكل يوم الواحد بتعلم وبحب البلد الحلوة هي أكتر 💛

Alhamdulillah for the blessing of diversity. Do you recognize the traditional clothing in the illustrations?

And of course, the fabric of Jordan is even more diverse than this; and every day, I learn something new and grow to love this beautiful country even more 💛

⁨ كل ٢١ أيار، يحيي الشركس حول العالم يوم الحداد الشركسي، اليوم الذي نستغله لنقل المعرفة والذكرى عن الإبادة الجماعية والتهجير القسري من الوطن الأم في منطقة شركيسيا غرب شمال القفقاس، والذي راح ضحيته قرابة المليون شخص خلال صراع مع روسيا القيصرية دام أكتر من قرن.

كتبت القصائد والروايات الأدبية الروسية التي دامت ليومنا واصفة صعوبة مواجهة أبناء الجبال. تم تهجير غالبية الناجين إلى الدولة العثمانية من خلال التوابيت العائمة- السفن المحملة فوق طاقتها والتي كانت تغرق في البحر الأسود بفعل الجشع محملة بشعب خسر أغلى ما عنده.

يقال أن العديد فقدوا عقلهم من شدة الألم وهاموا في الصحراء لعشرات السنين. هذه القصة غيرت مصائرنا جميعا إلى الأبد.

في هذا الفيديو مقطع من زيارة شركس الأردن، الواصلين إلى المملكة قبل نصف قرن تقريبا من تأسيس إمارة شرف الأردن، إلى جمهورية القبرديه في روسيا، وهي الدولة التي ورثت أراضي الإمبراطورية الروسية، في عام ١٩٩٤ بعد عدة أعوام من سقوط الاتحاد السوفييتي و معه سقوط الستار الحديدي.

هذا المقطع وكلام السيدات القديرات مؤثر جدا في إحدى أولى اللقاءات الجمعية الشركس في الوطن الأم مع شركس المنفى.

لم ننسى ولن ننسى.
