今回TICTACの8周年イベントにてPOPUPのお誘いをいただき、沢山の方に触って着て体感していただきました。
藍染、柿渋、シルエット、日本の使わせてもらっている生地とってもいいと、ほぼ全員に言っていただけ、心地よさを共有できとても光栄でした。
今回出会った方々に、日本が好きな方、訪れた事のある方も想像以上にいること、文化やアニメとやはり世界中でとても人気であることを知り、先人の偉大さを改めて感じました。
と同時に、自分は日本について知るべきだと思いました。
そして、TICTACでの経験は強いインパクトと沢山のインスピレーションをいただきました。
毎日、毎時間、毎秒が刺激に満ち溢れていました。
人種、国、ダンス、アート、食、ファッション、音楽、暮らし、ペイント、空間、とが繋がり共存していると感じました。
Work shop の一つ”Let’s dance” を素晴らしいダンサーの方々の中に混ざらせていただき、制限から開放された感覚を体験しました。
言葉を超越しした世界、コミュニケーションがありました。
自分たちがこれからやるべき道も纏まってきました。
そのような場を作り、この機会を与えてくれたDavidとMatのお陰であり感謝しかありません。

We were invited to host a POP-UP for TICTAC’s 8th-anniversary event, where so many people got to touch, wear, and experience our pieces firsthand!
Almost everyone told us how amazing the indigo dye, kakishibu (persimmon tannin dye), silhouettes, and Japanese fabrics were. It was a true honor to share that comfort with everyone.
I was surprised by how many people love Japan or have visited before. Seeing how popular Japanese culture and anime are around the world made me appreciate the greatness of those who paved the way.
At the same time, it made me realize how much more I need to learn about Japan myself.
My time at TICTAC left a strong impact and gave me so much inspiration. Every day, every hour, and every second was full of excitement.
I was deeply moved seeing everyone pour their heart and soul into their performances and expressions.
I felt race, country, dance, art, food, fashion, music, daily life, graphics, and space all connected and coexisting seamlessly.
Joining the "Let’s Dance" workshop alongside such incredible dancers gave me a true sense of freedom from all limitations.
It was a form of communication that completely transcended language.
Our path forward is now clearer than ever.
None of this would have been possible without David and Mat, who created such a fantastic space and gave us this opportunity. I can’t thank them enough.
I can’t wait for what’s next!
