[Starting Tomorrow] “Unwind” – Shinji Terauchi, Riso Porcelain Solo Exhibition begins on September 11th (Fri).

Shinji Terauchi is the head of Riso Porcelain, an Arita ware manufacturer. In this exhibition, we will be exhibiting and selling precious one-of-a-kind pieces made by Terauchi himself using a pottery wheel, as well as tea and sake ware from Riso Porcelain, specially selected for this event.

Terauchi will be in our gallery for two days, tomorrow and the 12th (Sat). Please feel free to come and visit.

寺内さん自らろくろを回して制作した貴重な一点もののほか、本展のためにセレクトいただいた李荘窯の茶器や酒器も展示販売いたします。

明日と12日（土）の2日間は、寺内さんが在廊予定です。ぜひお立ち寄りください。

[New Arrival] Ceramic works by Katsunori Sawa and Teppei Terada

Sawa's Oribe boxes and plates and boxes are appealing for their lively painted birds and flowers (Photos 1-4). His Shigaraki vases are notable for their dynamic flow of natural glaze (Photo 5).

Terada's ash glazed and carbonized Yakishime vases are beautiful in their form and expression (Photo 6).

《新入荷》陶芸家・澤克典さんと寺田鉄平さんの作品

澤さんの織部の陶筥、扇や松皮菱の形の向付は、生き生きと描かれた鳥や草花の絵付けが魅力（写真1-4）。信楽焼の壺や花入は、ダイナミックな自然釉の流れが見どころです（写真5）。

寺田さんの花器は初入荷。灰釉と炭化焼締の2点で、どちらも美しい造形と景色を楽しめます（写真6）。

[Next Exhibition] “Unwind” – Shinji Terauchi, Riso Porcelain Solo Exhibition

As the head of Riso Porcelain, an Arita ware manufacturer, Shinji Terauchi continues to explore the relationship between food and tableware through his work with leading chefs and restaurants around the world. In his handcrafted works, he brings together his experience from these collaborations with his own ideas and sensibilities as a ceramic artist. With “unwinding time,” as its theme, this exhibition presents a selection of one-of-a-kind pieces, including new tea ware made on his own pottery wheel. A special selection of Riso Porcelain tableware, selected by Terauchi specifically for HULS Gallery, will also be available. This exhibition is dedicated to those who cherish a quiet moment with tea or a drink in their busy daily lives. We sincerely look forward to your visit.

有田焼窯元「李荘窯」の当主として、海外のトップシェフやレストランと交流を重ね「食と器の関係」を探求し続ける寺内さん。その活動のなかで培われた感性を、一人の陶芸家として、手作りの作品を通して表現しています。本展では「くつろぎの時間」をテーマに、自らろくろを回して生み出した新作の茶器など、貴重な一点ものの数々を展示販売いたします。また、寺内さんがHULS Galleryのために特別にセレクトした李荘窯の器も取り揃えます。忙しい日々の合間に一息つくお茶の時間、お酒の時間を愛する皆さまへ贈る展示です。ご来場を心よりお待ちしております。

[Back in Stock] Tea ware by ceramic artist Junzo Maekawa (Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture)

"White" is unglazed and has a smooth texture , while "black with gold" is sparkly and has a soft, earthy feel. In addition to the popular round flat teapot, shibori-dashi, tea cups, and water cooler are also available.
