「間のあしらい ー垂撥と花入れ展ー」
日本の住まいに息づく「間」という美意識
床の間に代表されるように、日本の暮らしの中ではふと目をとめる余白をひとつの景色に見立て、そこに草花をあしらうことで景をうつすみたての文化が受け継がれてきました。
床の間がない現代の暮らしの空間でも、「垂撥（すいはつ）」を掛けることで、その場所が“間”となり、しつらえの場へと変わります。
今展では、弊社の職人が手がけた古材や一閑張りの垂撥、竹の花入れなどが並びます。
垂撥と花入れを通して、季節を映す草花とともに“間”をしつらえる愉しみをご提案いたします。
“Arranging the Ma — A Suihatsu and Flower Vessel Exhibition”
The Japanese aesthetic of ma—the space in between—lives quietly within traditional homes.
As seen in the tokonoma alcove, Japanese living has long embraced the practice of regarding a small pause in space as a landscape. By placing seasonal grasses or flowers there, people create a subtle scene that reflects the changing seasons.
Even in contemporary homes without a tokonoma, hanging a suibatsu (a decorative hanging board) transforms an ordinary wall into a moment of ma—a place for thoughtful arrangement.
In this exhibition, we present Suihatsu crafted by our artisans from reclaimed wood and lacquer , alongside bamboo flower vessels.
Through the pairing of Suihatsu and flower vessels, we invite you to discover the quiet pleasure of arranging ma with seasonal plants, and bringing the seasons gently into your living space.
