September has come and hopefully cooler temperatures are approaching as well!

In contrast with other Countries at the same latitudes, Japan is known for having a sunny Autumn period, with pleasantly warm temperatures until early November. What better occasion to spend some time in nature?

Many people are enjoying camping life, and some crafty individuals are also fitting vans and other spacious vehicles as small mobile homes!

In this case, our customer M. cared about every detail and chose the perfect sticker wallpaper to complete a wonderful "interior" coordination for his van!

Featured also in our Monday's post, the wallpaper from the high-end fashion brand Stella McCartney is currently available at WALPA!

Stella McCartney, an advocate for SDGs in the fashion industry, is famous for her use of sustainable materials such as recycled leather, banana fibers, and beeswax in her products.

Faithful to her creed, the collaboration between McCartney and the established, British wallpaper maker Cole & Son, is an effort to create a truly sustainable wallpaper collection: as much as 30% less emissions is the result of the innovative production process that uses recycled fibers!

The design itself, an ode to the kaleidoscopic world of fungi – that has deeply impressed and inspired Stella McCartney - is an invitation to protect and take care of the natural world and the environment.

This wallpaper would work greatly as an accent wall, or perhaps even to style a cabinet or partition walls, as we did in our Tokyo showroom.

Introducing the collaboration collection by Sarah Jessica Parker and Wallshoppe!

The famous fashion icon has designed all wallpapers together with her distinguished interior designer and decorator, Eric Hughes. The collection transmits all the splendor and glam of Sarah Jessica Parker’s lifestyle, reaching its highest point in the gorgeous “Townhouse” design, a big-scale Carnation flower design.

In particular, the blue “Peacock” variation of this design is featured in Carrie’s room (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) in the drama series “And Just Like That…”.

Especially recommended to flower lovers looking for a sophisticated, elegant floral pattern.

It's incredible how even a small quantity of wallpaper can give a completely different feel to a room!

While the restroom might not be the first place coming to mind when wanting to decorate your home, it is actually a place in which floreal and other colorful designs can shine and elevate the feel of the whole space.

This particular example was realized by our customer, Y, using Graham & Brown 's beautiful TESRONTO BLUE 119660 wallpaper.

Today's Mountain Day in Japan!

The most recent of the Japanese public holidays, Yama-no-Hi (Mountain Day) is a holiday meant to provide Japanese residents with "opportunities to get familiar with mountains and appreciate blessings from mountains."

Mountains are also a common topic in wall murals and repeated pattern wallpapers alike. Here is a selection of some of Walpa's favorites, ranging from a pencil landscape of the French Alps, to a retro' mountain resort holiday scene, to a modern Chinese ink painting of mountains and a lush, tropical cordillera!

Fruit of the collaboration between our company and wonderful, creative Japanese artists and designers, WALLTZ is our 100% MADE IN JAPAN wallcovering line.

To make it even easier to add some color to your room, we made it possible to purchase the two sticker designs "Birds and Flowers" by Naoko Horiguchi and "Mutual Love" by Yoshida Yoshiei by the individual sheet!

One sheet is enough to give a touch of creativity to items such as chests, sofas, or smaller areas. With a full set of four sheets, you can cover an entire wall, like you were installing an accent wallpaper – but more speedily. Just choose the quantity and layout that best matches your interior!
