In the early 2000s, Cartier’s Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP) represented the brand at its most traditional. Produced in limited numbers, these watches revived historic Cartier designs while showcasing some of the finest mechanical movements of their time.

The Tank à Vis is one of the rarest models from the collection. Inspired by an early 20th-century Cartier design, its signature exposed screws on the bezel are more than a design detail—they’re part of the watch’s identity.

This 2002 example is crafted in 18k yellow gold and features a beautifully engraved guilloché ivory dial, powered by the hand-wound Cal. 437MC. The proportions remain unmistakably Cartier: elegant, architectural, and timeless.

More than twenty years later, the Tank à Vis remains one of the most sought-after CPCP references, appearing only occasionally on the market.

Three Cartier Tank Américaine LM pieces arrived today.

White Gold (WG), Rose Gold (PG), and Yellow Gold (YG).

Each of them is beautiful in its own way, but personally, the Rose Gold version was my favorite.

It doesn’t feel overly flashy, yet it has a distinctive character and a refined presence on the wrist.

It’s fascinating how the same Tank Américaine can express a completely different personality depending on the choice of metal.

Piaget Tradition Extremely Lady Ref. 9802D2 (1970s)

This piece was never created as a “collectible.”
It began its life in the 1970s, when Piaget was not just making watches, but refining the idea of jewelry as time itself.

The Ref. 9802D2 belongs to a category of production that often stayed outside public circulation. These were not objects made for display, but for private ownership — subtle indicators of taste, position, and identity.
