Why is the neck bent?

A standard chisel can struggle when the handle hits the workpiece, especially when paring the bottom of narrow grooves, recesses, or dovetail grooves.

The KAKURI Kote Nomi Chisel uses a cranked neck to keep the handle away from the surface, helping the blade reach where a straight chisel may not.

Use it by hand. Pare slowly.
