A small piece of Japan, created for a place devoted to one of its most beautiful traditions.

We were recently asked to create a custom Hanko for a bonsai atelier in Portugal.

The seal was designed with four Kanji — 盆栽工房, meaning Bonsai Atelier — turning the identity of their studio into a traditional Japanese mark of their own.

This is one of the things we love most about Hanko.

A name, a studio, an artist, a brand — each can become something deeply personal, crafted in Japan and made to leave its own mark.
