(ENG is below.)「Matcha
今回のワークショップは、タイ人スタッフのGun(@teaism.explorer)が担当します。

“Have you ever tried MATCHA with a NUTTY FLAVOR?”
We are pleased to host a workshop centered on matcha.
Due to the current global matcha boom, Japan has been facing a chronic shortage of matcha. Even in Uji, where Baisa Nakamura is based, waves of international visitors arrive daily, carrying armfuls of tea shop paper bags.
But how is the matcha they purchase actually consumed once it reaches their home countries?
This workshop will be led by our Thai staff member, Gun (.explorer).Thailand stands out as one of the strongest matcha trend markets in Asia. Gun is the first Thai-certified Japanese Tea Instructor. He, with his partner, runs a Japanese tea café, Shoshin Tea (.tea), in Phuket and shares the charm of Japanese tea through his account (.explorer).
During the workshop, we will present various styles of matcha as enjoyed across Asia, offering perspectives on how matcha is perceived abroad and how it is commonly prepared and consumed in different countries. We will further introduce and explain the increasingly popular “nutty” style of matcha, known for its roasted, nut-like aroma.
