"Comfort food doesn't get much better than gyudon, recipe below! 🔥 Putting my new YASHA knife to the test with paper thin strips of beef sliced up in a sweet savoury sauce with onions, served on rice! 👏 This is a seriously fantastic Japanese made paring knife, designed for precise peeling, slicing and chopping, and it's a dream to work with in the kitchen 🙌 I own only a few knives and this has become my go-to for most everyday dishes!"

Recipe:
200g of ribeye steak
1 onion
100ml of dashi (or stock)
50ml of sake
2 tbsp of soy sauce
K**b of fresh ginger

1 - Put the steak in the freezer till hard, take out, defrost slightly, then slice very thinly throughout
2 - Mix onions, dashi/stock, sake and soy sauce in a pan. Add sugar to taste
3 - Once slightly reduced, add the beef, and cook until sauce has thickened further. Grate ginger in to taste.
4 - Serve with rice, poached egg and spring onions. Add pickled ginger and nori seaweed if available.
