Your friendly admin here. Leah wants to know if there’s any interest in a raffle draw limited to US only, where every entrant gets a prize.
Few people know, but Leah became ill and left Japan last year and no longer maintains her storenvy, tumblr, website, or two shop emails. Without going into too many details, Leah hasn’t been in good health since 2013 and she probably should have left sooner. We wanted to report that she’s getting the care she really needed now she’s in America. A return to Japan in the future seems unlikely at this time, but she’s in a much better place than she was before.
We took over modding this page to help her out as this was her dream to be up and on Japanese popular culture. I realize we haven’t always been updating this page, but we plan to start vending at conventions with Leah end of this year and moving from online sales to in person. We are waiting on Leah to be in better health before we start moving forward.
Leah still maintains her professional contacts in Japan and speaks Japanese fluently. We are looking forward to teaming up with her and making her bubbly personality and tenaciousness part of our brand of Kawaii Culture. She is a key member to our business and we ask that if you’ve had any problems in the past with her, that you’ll understand a lot of what Leah was doing was learning to run a business and that she made mistakes at times but always tried to do right by her customers. Please contact us if there is anything we can do to assure you you will have much better transactions in the future.
Pop Kawaii Culture is now a 3 woman team. We will be advertising our new shop March 1st! Myself and our other admin are happy to be a part of this exciting time and you can look forward to more regular page updates.
