A POWERFUL WEEK OF ACTION, PARTNERSHIP & COMMUNITY IMPACT! 💪🏾🌍
What a week for Tumaini Action CBO, working alongside Homa Bay County Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and development partners to turn conversations into action around the Triple Threat of new HIV infections, teenage pregnancy and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
📍 Wednesday, 26th August – Mawego National Polytechnic
Tumaini joined CSOs and development partners in the Office of the First Lady – Voice of Children Programme, Homa Bay County Triple Threat initiative, hosted at Mawego National Polytechnic, strengthening collective action to protect and empower children and young people.
📍 Thursday, 27th August – Responsible Civic Participation
We continued the week with conversations on responsible civic participation, promoting informed, peaceful and active citizenship as a foundation for stronger, inclusive and accountable communities.
📍 Friday, 28th August – Power of the Walk
The week culminated in the Homa Bay County Red Cross Power of the Walk, bringing communities, CSOs and development partners together for a community dialogue on the Triple Threat and collective action.
At Tumaini, we believe addressing the Triple Threat requires an integrated approach. We are connecting Alcohol & Substance Use Disorders (ASUD), mental health and sustainable livelihoods as major intervention areas to address underlying vulnerabilities, build resilience and create healthier, safer and more dignified communities.
Three days. Powerful partnerships. One shared commitment to action.
