THE APIARY JOURNEY:
An apiary is a place where beehives are kept for the purpose of beekeeping. It is essentially a bee farm where honeybees are raised for honey production, pollination services, and other bee products like beeswax, royal jelly, and propolis.
My initiative to form an Apiary Group within the Sorget Tendeno Ward is rather to be a commendable subject indeed Organizing a community-based on > Raising a bee farming group with gender inclusivity and engrained in undoubted proper leadership, to be a transformative commuting group project. Here's how the idea could be structured for success: Comprises on a vital team~Work, Administration surveillance, and as well based on PASSIONATE MWANA CHAMA, last but not least Honorable Civic Leaders to assist on PIVOTAL SUPPORT:
Steps to Establish the Apiary Group
1. Mobilization and Sensitization:
I, Propose to Gather the 20 individuals (men and women) who are interested and energetic.
Conduct awareness sessions about the benefits of bee farming, including economic, environmental, and agricultural gains.
2. Patronage and Leadership:
Seek guidance and patronage from Hon Rotich Moses Hon. Dr. Moses Rotich, MCA Sorget Tendeno, he proposed to assist:;
Elect a competent and transparent committee to oversee the project's management, ensuring accountability.
3. Training and Capacity Building:
Perhaps we may Organize a frequent workshops to train members on beekeeping skills such as hive management, honey extraction, and pest control. @ myself (joseph)and by importing experts is advisable:
Partner with agricultural extension officers or organizations specializing in beekeeping.
4. Location and Equipment:
Identify a suitable location for the apiary. It should be away from human traffic and with access to flowering plants.
