Jeremy Tremaine Williams is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection next week for an alleged r**e and murder of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland.

In December 2021, Kamarie’s mother, Kristy Siple, agreed to let Williams s*xually abuse her daughter in exchange for money. Court records show the negotiated amount was $1,300. Williams took the little girl to an abandoned house in Phenix City, Alabama, where he r**ed and sodomized her, forced her to use methamphetamine, filmed the abuse, and then strangled her to death. He continued to s*xually assault her body after she was dead.

Siple later reported her daughter missing. Williams was quickly identified, arrested, convicted of capital murder, and sentenced to death. Siple pleaded guilty to s*x trafficking her own child and received a 20-year prison sentence.

Kamarie was five years old. She never got the chance to grow up because the person who should have protected her handed her over to a predator for drug money.

Williams is set to die on August 13. Many believe 20 years for the mother who sold her does not reflect the gravity of what was done to that child.

In may 16th 2024 Sharon could not take it anymore she went and bought rat poison and mixed into the child's milk and fed it to the child promoting to the baby's death. She was arrested after she admitted what she had done the following day and was charged with murder, she entered into a plea bargain, pleading guilty to the lesser offence of manslaughter under Section 205 of the Penal Code. During mitigation, her lawyer told the court that she was about 19 years old, had been forced into an early marriage at 17, had been deserted by her husband, faced severe financial hardship, and had been rejected by her parents after returning home. The defence asked for a non-custodial sentence. A probation report described her as remorseful and recommended probation with counselling because she had no previous criminal record. On 23 January 2025, the High Court at Nakuru sentenced her to 10 years' imprisonment, backdated to begin from the date of her arrest on 17 May 2024. The judge held that although her circumstances were difficult, they did not justify killing a child.

She is expected to be released in 2031.

A man who appeared calm and unbothered while walking through Nairobi's busy streets was found carrying a backpack containing dismembered human remains. The remains were later identified as those of his 19-year-old wife, Joy Fridah Munani. The suspect, 29-year-old carpenter John Kiama Wambua from Huruma Estate, was arrested by police on January 21, 2025.

According to investigators, officers on routine patrol near Kelly Towers stopped Wambua after becoming suspicious of the bag he was carrying. Upon inspection, they discovered human body parts. Police said the suspect admitted that the remains belonged to his wife and later led officers to the couple's single-room house.

At the residence, detectives recovered additional body parts hidden under a bed, along with a blood-stained kitchen knife believed to have been used in the killing. Investigators also found bloodstains on the floor and personal belongings belonging to the victim. Authorities said the murder is believed to have been triggered by a domestic dispute.

Some of Joy's body parts have never been recovered. Wambua was arraigned in court on January 22, 2025, and the case remains before the courts. Joy, who was only 19 years old, lost her life in a tragic incident that shocked many Kenyans.

So detectives found Joseph at work and told him the truth. His wife wanted him dead. Joseph didn't run. He agreed to become bait.

He handed over his car, his schedule, his phone. Complete cooperation. The hit was planned for June 22, 2016, along his usual commute.

But DCI struck a day early, June 21, and grabbed the hired killers before they even moved.

Then came the genius part. Detectives kept the killers' phones active and texted Bilhah.

Job done, body dumped in Dandora, come with the balance. They staged a fake crime scene.

Photos of the "body" were sent directly to Bilhah's phone. She believed it. Completely. No grief, no shock. Just celebration.

She packed a bottle of wine in her Harrier, withdrew the KSh 400,000, and headed to Umoja to pay the "hitmen." Her sister Lucy rode with her.

Near Mama Lucy Hospital, DCI officers were already waiting, guns ready, exits blocked.

The moment her car stopped, they swarmed it. Bilhah was found sitting there, cash on her lap, wine in the back seat. Caught red handed.

Within a day, the rest of the syndicate, her lover Jimmy and her brother Peter, were also in custody.

All four were arraigned at Makadara Law Courts on June 29, 2016. Joseph testified his life was in "mortal danger." Courts still granted bail.

Big mistake. While out on bond, Bilhah broke into Joseph's house to steal marital property.

She was arrested again on July 13, 2016. Prosecutors moved fast. They petitioned the High Court to cancel her bail entirely.

Today, Bilhah Njoki Mwangi remains a free woman. The case against her is still active in court, moving slowly, years after the plot to kill her own husband unraveled.

The partially burned body of Berine Sylvia Achieng’ Aoko was found on her bed inside her apartment in Utawala, Nairobi, on the afternoon of April 28, 2023.

She was just 24 — a procurement graduate who was pulling night shifts at Swissport to cover the bills and help support her family back home. That Friday morning, she came back from work, walked into her apartment where her ex-boyfriend was already waiting inside, and was never seen alive again. She had her iPhone 13 and laptop with her when she entered. Around 2:40 p.m., neighbors caught the smell of smoke. The caretaker forced the door open and found her lifeless on the bed — with signs of assault and a clear attempt to set the place on fire. His clothes were reportedly burning near her feet. This wasn’t some random robbery or accident. It felt intimate, deliberate, and it tore her family apart.

Berine grew up in Homa Bay County in pretty modest circumstances. She had already lost her father in 2019 and was carrying the burden of looking after her mother and siblings. She pushed through university and later started grinding those night shifts. Even when life kept hitting her, she still made time for kindness — she wasn’t the type to turn people away.

The man last seen with her — and the main suspect — is Collins Nato Nyongesa. They had dated back when she was still in high school. He did printing work: T-shirts, posters, cards, and even helped with family burial clothes. The relationship had ended, but when he showed up later saying he had nowhere else to go, she let him stay. For about three months, they lived together in the apartment. She paid the rent, bought the food, and covered everything while working those exhausting shifts. She told friends it wasn’t romantic anymore on her side — she had moved on and was even talking daily to a man in Canada. She already had a Canadian boyfriend, but she still showed him that generosity.

CCTV caught her arriving with him already inside the unit. Later footage shows him leaving alone, as calm as if nothing had happened. He was the only other person living there and the last one confirmed to have been with her that day before he disappeared. He reportedly left with her iPhone 13 and laptop. His story to people, including Aoko's sister, had holes in it. His clothes were reportedly found burning at the scene. The autopsy showed she died from the assault — there was no soot in her lungs, meaning the fire came afterward. The burns were secondary, covering about 18% of her body. He vanished right after. No calls, no trace. He’s still wanted.

Her family, including her mother, Lorna Akoth, and sister, Emma Achieng’, only learned of the horror through chaotic calls from her workplace. They rushed from Homa Bay, saw the scene themselves, and have been vocal about how slow and frustrating the police investigation has been. The pain was crushing — they had already buried their father, and now they had lost one of the daughters they depended on in the worst way imaginable.

When Berine was finally laid to rest, she was buried outside the family homestead. According to the Luo cultural tradition observed by her family, an unmarried daughter is not buried within the main home compound.

Collins Nato Nyongesa, born on November 27, 1996, in Congoli Sub-location, Bukembe, Bumula Constituency, Bungoma County, is the son of Joseph Nyongesa Kubong and Evelyn Nyongesa. He hasn’t been arrested. Police named him the prime suspect early on because of the living arrangement, the last known contact, the way he disappeared, and the physical evidence reportedly left behind.

Some believe that Berine's decision to move on and her reported communication with a man in Canada, who was serious about marrying her, may have been a source of tension. However, investigators have not confirmed this, and it remains speculation rather than established fact.

Her family is still pushing hard for justice while Collins Nato Nyongesa remains at large.

This was the brutal end of a young woman’s kindness in a small Nairobi apartment. One ex who wouldn’t stay gone.

My name is Mama Judith Simiyu. I am a grandmother from Bungoma, now rotting in Langata Women's Prison, serving a 15-year sentence for a crime I maintain I did not commit — defiling my own seven-year-old grandson. The person who put me here is my own daughter, Vivian.

My story begins many years ago. When Vivian was just eight years old, I separated from my husband and left for Juba in South Sudan. I worked alone, under difficult conditions, to raise my children without any support. When things became worse in Juba, I moved to Mandera and continued struggling to provide for my family. I raised them with my own sweat and strength.

When Vivian finished her education and settled in Mombasa, she invited me to come and live with her. I accepted. I moved in to help care for her eight-month-old baby boy. For the next five years, I raised that child as my own. I was not employed, so caring for my grandson was the only way I could contribute. I fed him, cleaned him, comforted him — I loved him like my own son.

When Vivian later got married, I felt it was time for me to return home to Bungoma. That decision did not sit well with her.

In November 2024, Vivian called me and insisted I travel to Nairobi for prayers with a visiting man of God. I initially refused, but she kept pushing. She sent me the fare, and on November 11th, I travelled with my brother. We were put in Airbnb rooms behind Coptic Hospital — rooms my daughter uses for her business.

After the prayers on the 13th, Vivian told me the rooms were fully booked and that I would have to share a room with my seven-year-old grandson. I resisted, but she insisted again.

The next morning, the 14th, I asked for fare to go back home. She gave me three thousand shillings and left for work. Before I left, I had a quarrel with Dorcas, her niece who was staying with her. Dorcas had a complicated past — fleeing marriages, leaving husbands who had done much for her family. My words of frustration with her choices that morning would cost me everything.

I left the house with Dorcas and my grandsons, heading to the stage to board a bus home. Shortly after, Vivian called me, furious, asking why I had slept with her seven-year-old son. She had been told this by Dorcas. I was stunned and heartbroken, but I continued my journey.

I raised my children alone. I cared for my grandson with love. Now I sit here, locked away, because of a quarrel with a niece and accusations from my own daughter. A cousin turned my daughter against me, and I am paying the heaviest price.

He wrapped his hands around her throat after the knife work, ensuring the young woman who had exposed his secret criminal world would never speak again.

On a Friday afternoon in May 2022, Purity Wangechi Kiringa arrived at the rented home in Kirigiti, Kiambu County. The 19-year-old first-year journalism student from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication carried a mix of lasting affection and unresolved doubts. She had traveled from her Nairobi campus to confront John Wanyoike Kibungi.

Their relationship had soured after she stumbled upon disturbing details about his hidden activities. Despite warnings from her mother and close friends, Purity believed a face-to-face discussion might bring clarity—either to salvage what remained or to walk away for good. She had gone through her classes that day, shared a lively video with her mother from the lecture room, collected her driving license, and assured peers she would return to the city by nightfall.

She never made it back.

Inside the modest house in Mburiria estate, the conversation quickly escalated. Purity pressed him on the flood of troubling information reaching her—anonymous tips, shared screenshots, and messages detailing his deceptive ways. Beyond his public image as an up-and-coming DJ performing at events and sharing energetic clips online, reports painted a picture of involvement in scams, especially those preying on women, along with fraud and other illicit schemes that supported his flashy lifestyle.

She sought honesty. He viewed her as a risk who might unravel his entire facade.

The dispute turned violent in an instant. John Wanyoike Kibungi seized a kitchen knife and struck first, driving it into her neck before delivering additional blows to her upper body as she resisted. Chaos followed, with blood marking the walls, floor, and furniture. In her final moments, she called out his name amid the struggle. He then set the blade aside and used his hands to choke her until she stopped moving. The post-mortem examination revealed fatal injuries from both the stabbings and manual strangulation, leading to death by suffocation and blood loss.

The lively young woman—known for her joyful social media videos, participation in church choir sessions, and ambitions in journalism—lost her life in that rented space. She lost the fight. She was simply gone forever.

John Wanyoike Kibungi did not act alone. He reached out to associates Kanaita Kamau Njoroge, Brendan Mwaura Muchiri, and Isaack Kariuki Kibue. The group assisted in removing the body and abandoning it near a roadside thicket in the Mburiria area. It was left in a somewhat exposed state, showing clear signs of trauma.

The following day, May 14, 2022, a local resident came across her remains. Meanwhile, her family in Nairobi filed a missing person report. Detectives acted rapidly, tracing evidence such as bloodied items, clothing, and her personal documents back to the property.

By the early morning of May 15, authorities located and detained Kibungi in Kirigiti as he attempted to escape. The knife used in the attack was found on him. The crime scene stayed secured for detailed forensic review. All four men were taken into custody and faced murder charges under Section 203 as read with Section 204 of the Penal Code.

Throughout the proceedings at Kiambu High Court, the accused, including Kibungi, have maintained their innocence. Legal representatives have highlighted claimed gaps in the prosecution's case. The trial continues without a final verdict as of May 28,2026, and bail requests were turned down amid concerns over potential interference with witnesses.

Purity was buried on June 13, 2022, during a deeply moving service joined by relatives, classmates from KIMC, and others in the student community.

Family members, friends, and supporters still advocate for justice, mourning a talented young person whose future was cut short after she chose to question the man she once trusted.

Her head was hacked open with a machete. The back of her skull took a deep, savage cut from the sharp blade, slicing right down into the neck area too. Blood poured out everywhere as she lay there unconscious on the floor of their home in Kianjege village, Kirinyaga County. The injuries were way too brutal and targeted to be anything but a merciless attack. She never made it — Edith Muthoni was pronounced dead on arrival at Kerugoya Referral Hospital after neighbors and good Samaritans rushed her there.

Nothing about the scene really added up to just a simple domestic quarrel that went wrong, even though that's the story that came out. The wounds were horrific — deep cuts from what looked like repeated and really forceful hacking with a sharp object, the kind of machete you find in most rural homes. Dirty, rusted and blunt. Medical responders later described the terrible damage to her head and neck that caused massive blood loss and trauma.

Edith Muthoni was a 27-year-old promising athlete and a dedicated Kenya Wildlife Service officer based in Embu County. She was a middle-distance runner who competed in regional events, especially the 400m and 800m, with big dreams of moving up to national and international marathons. She juggled that drive with her wildlife protection work, showing real discipline in both.

But her personal life had turned troubled. She had been with Kennedy Nyamu Chomba for about three years. On the night of October 12, 2021, the couple was at their home in Kianjege East Village. Things kicked off when Edith wanted to see through his phone, sparking a heated argument that spiraled out of control.

As the fight got worse, Kennedy grabbed a machete and hacked her brutally, hitting her head and neck. She was left bleeding heavily on the floor. Neighbors found her in bad shape and rushed her to hospital, but she didn't survive.

Witnesses and family said there had been tensions in the relationship. Edith was hardworking and focused on her career and running, while the argument highlighted deeper problems. The three-year relationship had its strains, and it all boiled over that night over the phone.

The post-mortem confirmed she died from the head and neck injuries caused by the machete attack. The viciousness of it left no doubt.

Kennedy fled the scene at first but was arrested that same night from a hideout in the Kirinyaga area. He became the main suspect. Police picked up evidence at the scene, and he was taken to Kerugoya Court soon after. He was charged with murder.

Kennedy Nyamu Chomba was later convicted of murder and sentenced to death by the High Court on February 19, 2026.

The killing came just a day after the murder of Olympic athlete Agnes Tirop, which set off national anger about violence against female athletes in Kenya and raised big questions about domestic abuse.
