Tuswop

Tuswop Tuswop is premised on the concept of bartering/exchange of goods/services. In essence the name Tuswop thus means ‘let us all swap’.

The name TuSwop is a combination of two words, ‘Tu’ which is a Swahili word meaning ‘let us all” and swop which is an alternative spelling for the word swap, both meaning exchange or give (something) in exchange for. Swapping is a concept that has lived with mankind from as far back as 6000 BC. The advent of money as a unit of exchange however provided a type of convenience that saw barter trade g

radually wane to the point of near-oblivion. Luckily, technology has proven a useful utility in providing relevance to simple ideas that might have become irrelevant over time. Subsequently, leveraging technology (including the internet and technological devices) Tuswop is once again breathing life into the concept of bartering. TuSwop is premised on the concept of swapping goods for goods, or services for services or goods for services. Basically, focus is on three key aspects; exchange of used/second-hand physical items with similar items, exchange of the used/second-hand items with services and exchange of services with services. Easily exemplified for instance, by exchange of a used dress with a used watch or exchange of the used dress with a salon service or exchange of a salon service for a painting service. An accountant who needs their office painted can exchange services with a painter who needs their books audited etcetera.
