Mine was my grandfather.

One of my earliest memories is of him patiently teaching me how to tie my shoes. At the time, it felt like a small moment. Looking back, it became the first stitch in a much bigger story.

Years later, when I started this brand, naming it Oyè after him felt right. Every pair we create, every handcrafted piece, carries a quiet reminder of where it all began.

Some names are more than names. They are memories. They are gratitude. They are home.

One of my earliest memories is of him patiently teaching me how to tie my shoes. At the time, it felt like a small moment. Looking back, it became the first stitch in a much bigger story.

To Our Community,

Over the past few months, we’ve experienced production challenges that affected our ability to fulfill orders and deliver the experience you’ve come to expect from us.

To everyone who experienced delays, uncertainty, or inconvenience, we’re sincerely sorry.

Every Oyè piece is handcrafted, and while we believe in taking the time to create products with care, we also recognize that this should never come at the expense of clear communication or your trust. We take full responsibility for where we’ve fallen short.

Over the last few months, we’ve been investing in strengthening our production by improving our workshop, refining our processes, and expanding our capacity so we can serve you better while maintaining the craftsmanship that defines every piece we make.

Your patience, encouragement, and continued support have meant more to us than words can express. Many of you chose to wait, checked in with kindness, and reminded us why we do what we do. For that, we’re deeply grateful.

This marks a new chapter for Oyè. We’re committed to being more reliable, more transparent, and more intentional in every interaction.
