Use this dynamic timeline to find out about any year of Eastmatt's history: 1990 - Eastleigh Mattresses Ltd was established as a family business in Mau Narok, Kenya.
1994 - Relocated to Nairobi’s Eastleigh estate and opened the first branch. The name 'Eastleigh Mattresses' was born this year.
1998 - Opened our 2nd branch along River Road.
2004 – Opened our 3rd branch at Mfangano street Nairobi.
2007 - Opened our 4th branch at Kitengela. Rebranded as 'EASTMATT, a name derived from ‘EAST’ an acronym for Eastleigh (our first Nairobi Location) and ‘MATT’ an acronym for Mattresses.
2010 – Opened our 5th branch in Tala.
2011 – Opened our 6th branch in Mwea.
2013 – Preparing to mark a remarkable decade of growth for Eastmatt and for the Kenyan Retail Industry.
2014 – In April, we opened our Tom Mboya branch near Fire Station
2014 – Opened our 8th branch in Kajiado town, 11th December 2014
2020 – We Opened our 9th Branch in Gilgil Town.
