SHOCKING: Form 4 student arrested for robbery in Nyabondo Area
A 20-year-old Form Four student who is a candidate for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams has been arrested by the police in connection with a series of break-ins and thefts in the Nyabondo, Ndare Ramula, and Dirubi areas.
Austin Omondi Agimba was apprehended at Ramula Odowa Secondary School after a thorough investigation.
According to the police, Agimba confessed to the crimes and implicated his accomplices, including Okoth Balozi, Japheth Ndege Onyango, and George Audi, who was previously arrested for stealing 13 hens from the home of Principal Mrs. Amadi Ogoro.
The police operation led to the recovery of several stolen items, including school tablets, laptops, and a homemade pistol, from the homes of Apollo Okoyo and Japheth Onyango. The items were suspected to have been stolen from Kabete Primary School, Kabete AIC Church, and other shops around Nyabondo, where a string of break-ins had been reported.
The break-ins had caused concern among residents, with recent incidents including the theft of tablets and laptops from Kabete Primary School and the burglary of Kabete AIC Church, where a gas cylinder was stolen. The community had been living in fear, and the police are commended for their efforts in tracking down the culprits.
The police are urging the public to come forward with any information that may help in tracking down the remaining suspects.
The suspects and recovered items have been booked at Ogoro Police Station.
The operation was carried out by a team of officers, including Ass/Chief Euxavious Ong'ole, Ass/Chief Zablon Owiti, Incharge Kodong'a - Vincent, and community policing members.
