How I hacked my mind to do difficult things.

1. Stop caring about what people might say:

If it doesn’t offend anyone and it’s purely for your self-improvement, ignore what people might say.

Actually, people are already busy thinking about themselves, it’s very unlikely they’re thinking about you.

2. Focus more on the process not the outcome:

Although you want to visualise the end goal, but it won’t take you far.

It will actually prevent you from doing the hard work. Work on the process, and trust the process.

It will bring you to your goals.

3. Have an abundance mindset, not scarcity:

Often we put mental barriers before taking any action.

Example: I need capital to start a business.

Instead: Let’s see what I can start with just $100.

Having abundance mindset allows you to have endless possibilities to do hard things.

4. Use habit pairing:

Pair the things you enjoy doing for example driving and listening to a podcast.

Writing while taking the train.

This will create positive associations and makes it easier to maintain a new habit.

5. Always celebrate small wins:

Reward yourself for any small progress or small wins.

But don’t over indulge.

This builds a stronger internal motivation system to keep you going.

All the best!

If you feel like giving up, read this:

1. This is a Phase.
Tough times are just a phase. They don't last forever. Life is a cycle of highs and lows. Remember, this too shall pass. You're in the middle of the storm now, but clear skies are ahead. Hold on.

2. You Are Stronger Than You Think.
Never underestimate your resilience.

- You've survived 100% of your bad days.
- Inside you, there is an inner strength.
- Your potential is greater than any problem.

Remember, you're stronger and more capable than you believe.

3. Small Steps Count.
Progress isn't always a leap forward. Sometimes it's tiny, almost imperceptible steps. Each step, no matter how small, brings you closer to your goal. Celebrate every bit of progress. Slow and steady can still win the race. Keep moving forward.

4. Remember Your 'Why'.
Think back to the reasons why you started. Reconnect with your motivation and your goals.

5. Failure is a Stepping Stone.
It's okay to fall but it's important to rise again. Every setback brings learning opportunities. Remember, every great success story involves overcoming obstacles. Keep going. Your story is being written.

6. Practice Self-Care.

Self-care is essential, especially during tough times.

- Eat nutritious food
- Exercise regularly
- Get adequate sleep
- Connect with loved ones
- Engage in activities that bring joy.

It’s not selfish, it's survival. Your well-being matters.

7. It's Okay to Ask for Help.
Remember, you're not alone in this journey.

- Reach out to friends, family, or professionals
- Open up about your struggles
- Seek support when you need it

Strength isn't just about enduring in silence. It's also knowing when to ask for help.

To my friends and readers, Fight for yourself. No matter how difficult it becomes, never let yourself give in. After some time, your spark will eventually return. You will come out happier, healthier, and wiser. We are in this together.

"You work 8 hours to live 4.
You work 6 days to enjoy 1.
You work 8 hours to eat in 15 minutes.
You work 8 hours of sleep 5.
You work all year just to take a week or two vacation.
You work all your life to retire in old age.
And contemplate only your last breaths.
Eventually you realize that life is nothing but a parody of yourself practicing your own oblivion.
We have become so accustomed to material and social slavery that we no longer see the chains.. "
Life is a short journey, live it!

Don’t ever forget that you can:

- start something at 23
- fail at it a year later
- feel lost at 28
- start something again at 30
- feel you’re on top of the world
- lose everything the next day
- choose the wrong path
- feel you’re different from others
- start again at 35 or at 40 or maybe 50

And still succeed.

Because your path is made different.

It’s not for you to compare.

Walk on your own path.
Fall.
Rise.

You’re not late, for as long as you keep trying.

That’s how you can become successful.

How to Hug a Porcupine: Simple Ways to Love the Difficult People in Your Life by Debbie Joffe offers strategies for managing challenging relationships with empathy and understanding.

Here are ten lessons from the book:

1. Understand the Porcupine: To effectively deal with difficult people, it’s crucial to understand their behavior and motivations. Empathy can help you respond to them in a way that addresses their needs while maintaining your own boundaries.

2. Set Boundaries: Establishing clear and respectful boundaries helps to manage interactions with difficult individuals. Boundaries protect your well-being and create a structured environment for healthier relationships.

3. Practice Patience: Patience is key when dealing with challenging behavior. Allow yourself time to respond thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively or emotionally.

4. Avoid Personalizing Their Behavior: Recognize that difficult behavior is often about the other person’s issues and not a reflection of your worth. Avoid taking their actions personally to reduce emotional impact.

5. Use Active Listening: Show genuine interest in what the difficult person is saying by actively listening. This involves reflecting back what you’ve heard and asking clarifying questions, which can help de-escalate tensions.

6. Communicate Clearly: Effective communication is essential. Express your thoughts and feelings honestly but respectfully, and make sure to listen to the other person’s perspective as well.

7. Stay Calm and Composed: Maintain your composure in the face of challenging behavior. Staying calm helps you think more clearly and respond in a measured way, which can defuse difficult situations.

8. Seek Common Ground: Find areas of agreement or shared interests that can serve as a foundation for more positive interactions. Focusing on common ground can help build rapport and ease conflicts.

9. Practice Forgiveness: Holding onto grudges can be detrimental to your own well-being. Practice forgiveness as a way to release negative feelings and move forward with a more positive outlook.

10. Take Care of Yourself: Ensure that you’re taking care of your own emotional and mental health. Engaging in self-care activities and seeking support from others can help you manage stress and maintain resilience when dealing with difficult people.

These lessons emphasize the importance of empathy, clear communication, and self-care in handling challenging relationships effectively.
