Meet the Lorentz Transform 1000 IP – It’s a Beast (and It’s Waterproof)

Hey crew, let me introduce you to something we’ve been cooking up in the lighting world.

Say hi to the Lorentz Transform 1000IP. Yeah, the name sounds like something from a sci-fi movie, but trust me – this fixture is real, and it’s seriously impressive for outdoor shows.

First off, it’s waterproof. Rain or shine, this thing keeps throwing light like a champ. Festivals, outdoor concerts, stage shows by the beach – you name it.

But here’s the cool part: it’s both a beam light and a wash light in one. You want a tight, punchy beam? Got it. You want a smooth, wide wash to cover the stage? Easy. Just zoom from 5° all the way to 45° and watch the magic happen.

And the brightness? No joke. At 9°, we measured 15,238 lux at 10 meters. That’s seriously bright for an outdoor fixture.

Don't let the wattage fool you

So we finally did a proper test on our Longman 371 IP Beam Moving Head Light.

And honestly? I was shocked.

We measured the beam at 1-1.1 degrees and got 112 million candela. That's not a typo. 112,000,000 cd.

Here's the crazy part – this little 371W light is actually BRIGHTER than some 600W fixtures we compared it to on the market. Yeah, you read that right. Less wattage, more output.

How? Good optics, I guess. Longman clearly knows what they're doing.

And before you ask – yes, the waterproofing is legit. We've run these through multiple real shows, rain and all. No issues so far.

So here's my advice to my fellow lighting folks out there: stop chasing wattage numbers. That's not the full picture. Ask for real test data. Measure the actual brightness yourself if you can.

Otherwise you might end up paying for a "high power" light that's basically a expensive night light.

Just saying.
