π’ SELLER & BUYER AWARENESS β PLEASE READ, ARMY! π
Sharing this as a reminder to fellow sellers, especially those selling BTS merch and collectibles.
Recently, I sold 3 pcs of BTS Official Light Stick Ver. 4. The regular selling price was β±3,600 per piece, but since the buyer ordered 3 pieces, I gave a discounted price of β±3,500 each as a bundle deal.
One of the lightsticks was later returned because it was unsealed. I acknowledged that I should have clearly disclosed that detail before the sale, so I accepted the return.
However, upon receiving the returned item, I noticed that the box was already significantly damaged, whereas it was in pristine condition when I originally sent it. π¦π
And just to be clear, Iβm also an ARMY and a collector, so I completely understand why the condition of the box matters. For us, itβs not simply βjust a box.β The packaging is part of the collectible, especially for official BTS merchandise. Many ARMYs want to keep their merch complete and in good condition, and a damaged box can significantly affect its value and make it much harder to sell to another collector.
Thatβs why I was genuinely disappointed to receive it back this way. I sent the item in good condition, so naturally, I was expecting it to be returned in the same condition.
Despite this, I decided not to deduct the β±500 from the refund for the damaged box. I chose to let it go and simply take it as a lesson.
But this experience reminded me how important it is for online sellers to:
πΈ Take detailed photos before shipping
π₯ Record videos while packing
π¦ Document the condition of the item AND packaging
π Take photos of seals, tapes, corners, and every angle of the box
πΉ For returns, document the condition immediately upon receiving the package
π¬ Clearly communicate return/refund policies before completing a transaction
And for buyers, please remember: when returning an item, kindly return it in the same condition in which you received it. Sellers also deserve the same consideration and care.
This isn't posted to shame or attack anyone. I'm sharing this purely for awareness, especially for fellow ARMY sellers and collectors. We know how much these things mean to usβand how even the smallest detail can matter. π
As Bangtan would sayβ¦ βIβm fine.β ππ
I could make a big deal out of the β±500, but sometimes it's better to choose peace and say Life Goes On. π
Lesson learned: Document everything. Protect your items. Protect your business. And protect your peace. π«Άπ»π
Borahae, ARMY! π
